General Questions Thread

H&F suits F bowlers the most. Spinners tend to suffer. In RL, Wrist spinners do well on H&F and Finger spinners struggle. But since that isn't here, spinners struggle on H&F. It is written in the BT rules too if I remember right...

Isn't H&F more in favour of spinners. That's what this site says anyway.

Pitch? If it is H&F or Green then go for the Medium. Anything else, stick with the spinner.

Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it!!!:hpraise

My spinner went alright on the H&F. One on very defensive got 2/33 off 10 overs (resp/med). Other one got 2/56 off his 10 being a destructive on normal setting. (comp/feb)

I dont know what you guys are talking about, this is now my second season (maybe 3rd) where Im using no spinners.

Im doing fine thankyou, even on dusty pitches!!

So stop bickering about spinners they ain't so great!

Age: 21 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 6,014
Wages: £705 p/w

Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: competent Consistency: respectable
Fielding: proficient
Is he worth buying? If yes then how much for?

I dont know, say about........ ?66k :rolleyes:

I honestly dont know, you will get a feeling if you think he's not worth anymore money.

Could someone post what happens each day on battrick?
eg.
Monday=
Tuesday=
.
.
.
.
.

Monday: Training updates (see if your players have 'popped' - increased in a skill)
Tuesday: Nothing
Wednesday: Nothing
Thursday: Nothing
Friday: OD league games
Saturday: Financial Updates (means you can pull another YP)
Sunday: Cup/Friendly OD games

This is during the season. First Class are planned to be introduced next season, these are 3 day games which will cover Tuesday-Thursday. The off season Twenty20 tournament also takes place pretty much every day.

I joined in February, so I am fairly new.

The thing I am trying to work out now is 'pops' and when they may pop.

I have a rough guide at how much a player on a certain primary should be paid, but I have 1 or 2 issues.

I've read these are the maximum wages for a primary, assuming that everything else is worthless

useless = 250
worthless = 250
abysmal = 250
woeful = 250
feeble = 290
mediocre = 385
competent = 635
respectable = 1125
proficient = 1980
strong = 3338
superb = 5370
quality = 8270
remarkable = 12250
wonderful = 17555
exceptional = 24440
sensational = 33205
exquisite = 44155
masterful = 57625
miraculous = 73980
phenomenal = 93600
elite = 116890

If others are not worthless, you subtract using the wage calculator - 6 concnetration is worth 34 for example, which you subtract from the wage and so on until everything is subtracted and you are left with the primary wage.

Is this correct?

I'm having trouble working some things out - some seem fine, some don't!

Anyway,

Player 1

Wages: £1,886 p/w

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: feeble Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: proficient Consistency: feeble
Fielding: feeble

Player 2

Wages: £693 p/w
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: worthless

Are you able to work out when these 2 could pop? player 1 in bowling, player 2 in batting & bowling.

Thanks for any help...........I know a bit about the game, but i'm still a novice really
