This is my opponent for my Friday game:

Oneoffthewrist
Top Order: mediocre
Middle Order: feeble
Lower Order: worthless
Seam Bowling: mediocre
Spin Bowling: mediocre
Fielding: abysmal

These are my ratings:

Ramsgate RSL CC
Top Order: mediocre
Middle Order: woeful
Lower Order: worthless
Seam Bowling: feeble
Spin Bowling: mediocre
Fielding: woeful

I have a uneven pitch. Would it be best to keep it like that? Or should I change it and hope my groundsman can quickly change it to something else.

Also my fitness level is low. I want to GFI. Should I GFI or should I PAN?

You probably left it to late to change your pitch to one that would take out his seam bowling advantage. It is only slight though so who knows what BT will give out. GFI if you will be TIE next game, if not then stick to PAN.

i just joined this... but not at planet cricket. i took over someones old team it says but there is no existing stats for my players, i already bought one player so i had two solid opening bowlers my spin attack is pretty good and i have 2 or 3 good batsmen.

any tips from when you first started would be nice

That's cause you start a fresh. The old team is completely gone and replaced with your new ones.

Tips just read the rules and maybe have a read through the first page of this thread as there were some good links posted.

The problem is my next game is against the team that came last, last season and I played him a friendly, pretty much full strength and nearly lost. I only won by 26 runs.

I will PAN like you said because I don't want to kill my players.

all shield matches are played on sundays... you can set the lineup 20 mts earlier, and you watch the match like cricinfo commentry... you get the scorecard after the match...
