General Questions Thread

Ok, no more ITS anymore.

No, I havent upgraded before. But Iam not getting full houses at my home games. Is there still a need to upgrade?

Don't upgrade your stadium. Stop all ITS investment. Take a close look at your nets and see if there are any you can do without, and if so get rid of those coaches. Check your Sports Phsycologists and Financial Advisors to make sure you're not wasting money. If you need to, sell a player. That will give you some money to play with and if you're still losing money after doing all of the above...you're in trouble :p

In addition Hooper, buying all those players aren't going to help things at all, as you will be paying the transfer fee and wages from now on.... Unless they are going to make you win games and bring people into your stadium, they're a waste for a team in financial trouble.

I am not going to upgrade my stadium then.
Iam going to stop ITS - right now!
I have 10 nets, no Sport Physcologists or Financial Advisors. Do I need them? I only have Bowling, Keeping, Fitness and Keeping nets.

To get some money should I sell this player:
Seymour Bartle - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,669
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, strong batting form, strong bowling form, fatigued
A steady player with woeful leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: proficient Consistency: feeble
Fielding: worthless

I need to win, thats why Iam buying some players. I have put about 4 players up for transfer and Iam selling all my crappy players now as well...

Hmmm you are in quite the mess. You really have been screwed over by the no more FC subsidy. If you were winning it would be easier to fix. You will need to save up to 1.6 mill which will be hard for you unless you have a player that can go for over 1 mill.

I know, Iam screwed. My best player can only be sold for about 500k. Doug Bennet. Yeah, Iam not winning enough matches...nets are costing me 25k a week...

Stop the 15k of IT investment and stop the25k of coaches, and you'll only be losing 10k a week. THat's a bit better. So surely you could get that in gate reciepts?

Hmm, that sounds like a much better solution, better then selling my gun batsman.

I am getting on average 13k a week in Gate Receipts.

But with no nets, do players still improve and pop?

No they don't thats why it's not your best option as you won't be improving, you'll just be static. Rather sell a player and work to improve from there...

Ok.

Stop all ITS. Sell a good player.

Damn, but then Iam still losin 25k a week in coaches, I am only getting 13k a week in Gate reciepts.

What net is Bartle on? Looks like he is on quite a bit so I would keep them on him to the end of the season. Get his stam up to at least med. Then sell him giving you 3 mill. You're be able to buy a few players and still be above 1.6 mill.

WHAT!!! I could sell him for 3 mill!!! HOLY MOLY. I think I will just keep my head above water then sell him at the end of the season.

He is currently on these nets:

2 Fitness
2 Bowling
1 Fielding

Heres what he looks like again, now:
Seymour Bartle - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,669
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, strong batting form, strong bowling form, fatigued
A steady player with woeful leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: proficient Consistency: feeble
Fielding: worthless
So will he be able to improve him heaps?

Yea thats what I would have suggested having him on. Might have overestimated on the 3 mill :p But being at strong he'll get at least 2 mill and the secondaries plus his sublevel for bowling will determine how much higher he gets.

He's your answer to getting out of trouble for sure, just his secondaries and stamina up a little and he should fetch you quite a load, and if you blow if from there, then I just don't know :p

Haha, get my hopes up aye Syl:(

Man, if I get millions of bucks I dont know what I would do with the money:rolleyes:

Probably do what Max has sad and blow it all;) Nah joking, I will plan out my finances better, I was to careless before.

So how long until I can sell him? Next season? When does next season start?

As you might expect, you can't buy a host of great players for 3 million, but you could get a lot of competent and respectable players with one million, giving you the best of both worlds. Money in the bank will turn over a profit before gate takings and you will have enough of a team to make the middle of the table.

The market isn't cheap.

look at guys like this

Although distastefully priced for players that aren't hard to pull from an academy, they have fielding skill that will be a needed improvement for your team right now. Under these market conditions, you could probably stand to go to 120 for these sorts of guys, but to balance out, you would go nowhere near 100 for anyone who has undesirable fielding or bowling or keeping.

Eg, this could also be handy for 100k

And in spite of poor fielding, this could be a steal if he doesn't gather interest

Moving up to respectables, it gets harder to get a decent deal, but there is the odd one worth bidding for
