consistency is important to a keeper. having points in both will be better than having them all in one and none in the other.

Yeah, Hone has much better stamina and better concentration than Tannis. Better stamina means he will score faster when trying to play a big innings and also he will recover fitness quicker. Better concentration means he will be less likely to get out when he shouldn't. You should put the batsmen with better stamina and concentration in the top order so they can make big hundreds, while one like Tannis comes in later to hit quick runs (you know the kind, that fat guy who hates running, so he hits the ball as hard as he can).

Mind you, you'll have to wait a while before they are playing their best. When your players are low on fitness, they play badly. You want your players to have energetic or sublime fitness going into a match and so they need a lot of rest at the start to get up to that. In fact to go back to Tannis and Hone, you can see how much faster Hone's fitness grows compared to Tannis. Even when Tannis has full fitness, he will get tired very quickly trying to play 2 games a week.

Luckily, this season is nearly over and they can all get some rest soon. Still, don't be afraid to fire players that don't have very good skills or just aren't fit enough. A player with mediocre stamina, mediocre batting and mediocre concentration would be an effective player in your league and you can usually buy such a replacement for less than $10,000.

Don't get carried trying to improve quickly though, in fact over-zealous spending is the big killer of new teams (eg; you won't need a 20,000 seat stadium for a long time, so don't build one), but one other problem new teams seem to have is that they waste a lot of money and effort on these weaker starting players instead of just quickly picking up a few match winners.
