Right I have a question. After a few matches now my players are beginning to get tired. My problem is that the rest of the guys in my squad are crap and I have no money to buy some new guys. What would be my best tactic?

Now's your chance to pull a Rafa in the cricketing world, where you can try to rest a player or two also, if you are going to win a match easily go for a 'TIE /Take It Easy' on the orders page as this will conserve fitness.

The triple med players (med stam,bat/bow,conc/cons) are more than handy for playing FC especially against bots. You can get them as low as 1k.

The trick I tend to use is to prioritise my games. If I'm away to the league leaders and have no chance in beating them, I'll rest my good players for matches I can win.

More importantly (at this point in your career) if you're going to get flogged, TIE

How do your find an oppositions player via wage when scouting if the wages are only updated once a season?

Anymore info on what you scout for would be handy also

When I'm scouting a team, I look at BTR, wages, and performance.

If someone has a high BTR, then they're likely to be a dangerous player.

If that player also has a high wage (for me its more than about 5k but 'dangerous' will vary depending on how good your team is) then they're likely to be a dangerous player.

If they have good stats as well as a high wage and BTR then they are a good player! You can estimate a primary skill based on wages, and have to use common sense for training. If it's a 28YO Remarkable with sublime fitness, they're probably not being trained, if they're a fair 19YO Wonderful then they probably are. Look at how far into the season it is, and assume they have been on 2 primary nets (fear the worst and plan for it).

If their stats are poor it suggests poor primaries and huge secondaries, or a high wicketkeeping skill - always check the stumpings column.

Thanks.

Got a little rivalry with two of my mates, that I got into the game, and do not wish to be overtaken.

Do you think I could post my side and one of you could pass your eye over it and say how I could improve, because most of you are way ahead of me.

Right, have had a look and my first XI (in batting order, apart from the bowlers whose batting I didn't bother to check):

Padayachie
Makooi
Gough
Gradi +
Ramsey b
Bignot
Boateng
Nuttal b
Young b
Richardson b
Prince b

If you do manage to sign that bowler, replace either Young or Nuttal, there's not a lot in it.

Nets wise:

Gough - 1 Bat, 1 Stamina
Gradi - 1 Bat, 1 Stamina
Prince - 1 Bowl
Naylor - 1 Bowl (if he doesn't sell)
Ramsey - 2 Bowl, 1 Bat, 1 Field

If you do sign that bowler, and he's under 22, I'd be looking at 1 bowl, 1 stamina and 1 fielding, so the nets you can affored to lose are Naylor bowling (if he sells, leave it on otherwise), Gradi's batting, Ramsey's second bowling, and Gough's stamina.

Just my opinions, based around what I have found works well. Ramsey is a potential star if well trained.
