Congratulations to Jenson Button and Brawn GP, he deserved to win it from Melbourne

GET IN THERE JENSON!

Unlucky Vaughan and the rest of you jonny foreigners; Britania rules the waves again. GET IN.

Big congrats to Jenson, he deserved it.

A great race though. The first lap was hectic and the battle between Button and Kobayashi made for great viewing. I think Trulli was a bit out of order with his public hammering of Sutil on track, it wasn't Sutil's fault at all. Scary incident in the pits when Kovalinen drove off with the fuel hose setting Raikkonen's car on fire for a split second. Luckily it wasn't as bad as an incident I saw in the Indy Car season when the cockpit caught fire because of a fuel spillage and the driver was burnt.

Lets hope for a great final race at Abu Dhabi despite the Championship having been already won.

Sean, just get on the BBC website and find the race highlights. It'll show 10 minutes or so of the best bits. Fully worth it as it was an incident filled race.

Well I have no issues with Jenson and never had, and the fact he deserved the title. Always knew he was good but never quite got the right car to show his true potential I guess. I remember being quite impressed when he drove for Williams and was then sent to Benetton and was probably a bit unlucky that Williams decided to stick with Montoya.

But as good as I thought he was I never thought he was world champion material, and that is what he has proved this season. He was awesome in the starting and more than good enough overall. I know the Brawns had the best cars, but Jenson did his job and did it well.

But its about next season now and I cant wait to see double-world champion Fernando Alonso in what I hope will be a competitive Ferrari.

Next season is shaping up really well on the one hand. I can see Red Bull, Brawn, MacLaren and Ferrari all being competitive but no re-fuelling worries me slightly.
With the aerodynamic improvements they seem to make every year there's a definite danger of races being a total procession with everyone finishing in grid order.

Yet they say they want overtaking.... with full fuel loads a Ferrari wouldn't be able to overtake a Toro Rosso

The way I see it, the only way to get that is by making all cars have the same engine (power, not name of course). Put the driving back in the hands of the drivers and not the cars!
