Not really.. Its just a warmup, and also we didnt have a few key players like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Zaheer. We have one more tougher warm up match vs Pakistan (that makes it two really tough matches as warmup). I think we should be really ready when the main tournament starts. The key players (atleast Sehwag and Yuvraj) need to play the Pakistan match and get match practice and the flow going (in these conditions).

This defeat to NZ could actually help India shrug off complacency.

The warm up games do mean something for the players but I don?t think the ?teams? would really care too much. If a player is able to go out there and score a quick 40-50 it will give him a lot of confidence going into the main event. I would doubt very much that India is complacent because 20/20 is so unpredictable.

I think this group favor Bangladesh more then India and I think Bangladesh will get confidence as tournament progresses and will surely cause at least 2 to 3 upsets.

Since there are only 3 matches per group and some of the lesser nations won't create as much interest I thought it would be better doing it this way.

Oh damn! Do we have reserve days for the games? I dont want a case where we share points with Bangladesh, shockingly lose to Ireland (in case of a close match!) and then we are ousted from the tournament in the group stages? That would be terrible.
