Group D - 10th Match NZ v SA

Just noticed NZ have the morning fixture, lucky buggers that is the perfect time for me to watch Aus.

Ya i just looked through the schedule it is they only match that starts at 10:00 local, 09:00 GMT all the rest start at least 3 and a half hours later than that. It is probably something to do with us in NZ getting to watch it. As it will start sometime round 9pm our time and go onto just after midnight which is reasonable timing. All the other games start midnight, 4am in morning etc our time so we wont really be able to watch any of those one. I'm guessing its just helping us New Zealanders so we get to watch some.

I don't think it's intentionally done. If you check the fixtures, you'll see that in a normal day two matches will be played: Fixtures, Schedule | ICC World Twenty20 2009 | Cricinfo.com Since on the opening day only one match will be played (England vs Netherlands) the day after three matches will be played. Luckily for New Zealand fans it will start at 09:00 GMT. But if check New Zealand's next match is Tuesday 9 June 2009 at 16:30 GMT. It's actually a good time for South African fans, who can watch the match after school or work.

Cant wait for this match (NZ vs Scot), just letting everyone know, it will be shown on Fuel TV in Australia rather than Fox Sports.

NZ vs RSA will be a cracker although I think my boys will get up.

GO THE KIWIS!

Looking forward to this. Being the first game and all. It's been a while. REALLY looking forward to the v RSA game though.

I think we have a real chance. T20 is like that. You don't need the best players. We just need to play well and we have as good a chance as any side.

Butler will be good for us this tournament, but Vettori needs to step up with the ball.

Looking forward to watching Guptill, Ryder, Taylor and McCullum batting in this, one is bound to come off.

Welcome back :D

I caught the end of the news tonight and Moles was saying Mills will be ready too go for our first game.

NZ v RSA competitions in ICC tournaments have always been fun to watch. Both teams are at their mighty best.
As for today's game, the Scots know the ground conditions, but will find it hard to score of Ryder,Vettori and other Kiwi bowlers.

NZ vs Scotland! Kiwis vs Kilts, Haggis vs Haka, Bungee jumping vs Log-chucking.

Unfortunately in there's no contest in cricket.

Mills is out for the Kiwis, Ryder has a niggling injury but will be fit. For NZ sake it would be better if Ryder was out injured.

Don't think he is NZ 2nd best batter in ODIs either. Test he would be but the shorter forms he hasn't clicked yet.
