Group D (England, Ireland, West Indies) - 10th Match Ireland v England

Is going to be a tight game unless England put on another 30 or 40 in these last 3 overs.......

dutchad added 9 Minutes and 2 Seconds later...

Well played Ireland, to give them credit but England are doing an England again...................................:(

We need a big over now...we are 20 or 30 short here.............meh...Swanny on strike......

Swann batting ahead of Yardy ?

Better hitter than Yardy tbf.

Been a tweaking diabolical batting performance from everyone bar Morgan and to some extent Lumb. Just couldn't get the medium pace away, let Johnston and the 17 year-old spinner Dockrell bowl far too many dots. We're just going to have to hope it doesn't rain, as D/L would give Ireland a tiny total to chase.

Morgan gone too.

:crying

Ireland has put a stunning bowling performance here. England once again playing like non-test playing nation. Hope Ireland proves now that they chase also well while batting. :clap

Can you believe it!? Why oh why oh why do we make it so difficult for ourselves? Why cant we just win..........meh, time to pillage the fridge...............

Calm down. It's a shocker of a pitch and Ireland only have two decent batsmen. This is far from over.

End up on 120/8 which could be competitive if we bowl well and it stays dry, but I think Ducky-Lewis is going to play a part here and give Ireland a dolly of a chase. Terrible batting performance really.

Grmfff, swfflellee, mesoioeoe (removes donut from mouth)....not so sure about this one..........

England should have it, despite having pie chuckers like Sidebottom in the side. Swann and Yardy to win it

Haa & before the tournament you where telling me that Yardy could be a good finisher in the top 6, now England have batted both Bresnan & Swann ahead of him.:facepalm

What i feared would happed with England in this tournament has occured. The team is too dependant of the top 5 & a hot & cold Luke Wright to make big totals & in the event of that the top 5 doesn't do the work (as we have just seen) - the lower order doesn't have the hitting power to do serious damage to any team.

Picking Yardy has made the lower-order way weaker since if he can't be depended on top bat @ 6/7 - he effectively a tail ender. It messes up England's balance even if Yardy can bowl. This is why Shah should have been in this team as i've said before to give us a solid top 6.
