GTA V

lol

cops with sticks and stupid hats.

no thank you.

Re-read the post: 'Bending the gun rules' is the part you should be interested in. ;)

Who remembers GTA London? That game was brilliant - and as far as I remember, the cops had guns. ;)

There was a GTA london?

I just can't take gangster stuff from the UK seriously.

You guys are too soft, it's not believable.

GTA London would be ace I'd of though. Most cops carry Lasers now anyway so that'd be your starting point, next step would be armed police etc...

I hated the last game barely played five minutes on it, best one was with CJ. Loved San Andreas.

The 'gangsta' type storyline took some getting used to for me, but yeah SA was a great game. Love your idea about a London GTA's police.

'Soft'?

You need to do a bit more research - specifically on various East End gangsters. And watch 'The Krays' - if you find slicing a guy's face from ear to ear 'soft'....

Rest assured, we have our fair share of psycho gangsters (not 'gangstas') just as you do. ;) Where does your idea about the UK being 'soft' come from by the way?

It was one of the first games

It's boring! All the games except one - a long, long, long time ago (GTA London) have been set in the USA! I thought GTA London had the best 'character' of all of them, even the ultra modern 3D ones - it perfectly captured the atmosphere of 1960s London.

I don't get your point about Americans in GTA not being stupid - what, so if it was set anywhere else, then the game's population would be stupid?

GTA london would be a bit boring I think.

GTA Rio de Janiero, or somewhere like that, would be immense. rickety cars and dangerous motorbikes, city of god style bits etc etc

You clearly didn't get the joke, did you?

OK, I get it now. Still doesn't stop the game being set in the USA all the time boring.

@Stinky: I wouldn't set GTA London in modern London, I'd set it in the Krays' era - the 60s. That would definitely not be boring. ;)

Rockstar studio is in America so..

Anyways, I think the main reason GTA V not being in any new location is mainly because as they said in interview that they were shifting to HD game with GTA IV and hence they didn't included larger map like in SA because of game size. The same reason I can think for GTA V is that they didn't wanted to imagine and create new setting as that would have taken hell a lot of time. So they converted SA into HD. Plus SA being the best GTA game mainly because of it's setting helped. Hold you exceptions for GTA 7 or so..

so...so what? Creative Assembly are a UK company, yet they don't continually pump out TW games set in different parts of the UK's history. Their last game was Shogun 2, their next game is Rome 2. In fact, CA have never made a game just set in Britain - yet they're a UK studio. There are tons of places Rockstar could set the new GTA game. I can't be the only one who's tired of the game always being set in the States?

Location change might be good but not the UK. That's just lame.

I like Stinkys idea of Brasil. Or maybe Moscow.
