Harbhajan banned for 11 matches

Bhajii should be banned for 6 months.

And Sreesanth for rest of IPL games.

BCCI and Indian media who were there for Bhajji after tour of Australia must be ashamed of this.

Finally the BCCI has done something right :)

Really, congrats to BCCI. They have shown that they have the guts to stand against one of their most important players. Also same goes to Lalit Modi, he has made cricketing matters stand over money and business.

I think pressure from Media has worked a bit.
There was 24 hours news about that shame incidence.
Though I don't think this decision has good Prognosis.

I don't know who was to blame from Harbhajan or Sre, as his 'tears' ain't tell the real story to me, nor i know it.

I'd just say that Harbhajan needs a week's rest, and needs to calm down.

More like a Psychiatrist's help.

wow bajji isnt going to be too happy about that.
even though they said they were like family, i wann see how bajji and sree will be in indian team together!!

Wait and Watch, It will be Punjab V The Rest Of India :p

Nah, this kind of stuff happens in football all the times, where players have fights in training, and the next thing you know they're playing like nothing happened...

BCCI to probe deeper into incident

Sreesanth also under scanner
The BCCI's investigation into Harbhajan Singh's spat on Friday with Sreesanth, his India team-mate, will examine the background of the incident to find out whether the offspinner was instigated in any manner, the Indian board's probe commissioner has told Cricinfo.

Sudhir Nanavati, the BCCI's appointee to conduct a "preliminary inquiry", said he would take note of the match referee's report which "says that one of the umpires, Amiesh Saheba, had warned Sreesanth for his behaviour after the dismissal of a rival player in that match". A senior lawyer from Ahmedabad, Nanavati is also vice-president of the Gujarat Cricket Association and chairman of the BCCI's finance committee.

I wouldn't feel too badly about supporting him and then him letting India down. Its not the fault of the supporters and the Board that they stuck by their man in heated and controversial circumstances. Lots of others would have done the same.
There may be a lot of crowing from my fellow Aussies about the vindication of the Australian players' claims but I reckon the half million greenbacks Harbhajan loses will hit him hard enough. It will also confirm some points of view about his temper, if not his chaaracter.
Overall its a bad incident and he has been rightfully punished with the possibility of additional sanctions being imposed. This is how bad behaviour needs to be handled - swiftly, openly and with a big stick. Well done to the IPL!
