Harry Potter Mafia - The End! Abhas/Death Eaters win!

Hmm, it would probably be best to start with a lynch on the first day but really we can't gain anything from the first day so really it would be random lynch. For the moment I won't lynch anybody as I doubt they would end up being lynched off anyway with the amount of non lynches so far.

No Lynch

Sigh, looks it will be a no lynch.
What if from the write ups, what if the only information the spin gives is the person who was killed? Then what will you guys do?
Not saying that it will happen, but mafia games should always be discussion driven.
Either way since everyone is so bent on no lynch.

Here are a few questions for all the no lynchers. Especially the newer players.
Why are you heading for a no lynch? Just because you might lost a townie?
With your one vote? Are you serious? It takes 9 votes for a lynch. Do you honestly think just because you have chosen to lynch someone means everyone will follow you?
Most probably voting will be spread to all players since most people will not vote one particular person this early in the game.
It might be significant now but it might become later.
Posting one post stating no lynch and letting the day end is counter productive for townies. The more discussions take place, the less there is a place for mafia to hide.
The write-ups should never be the only source through which discussions can take place.
Anyways pretty sure there is mafia among the no lynchers already. A group has grown rather quickly, definitely atleast one of them has joined the bandwagon.

Ok, I'll try answering all of those.

Why are you heading for a no lynch? Well it wouldn't have made a difference when everyone before me made a no lynch. Like I said, I'd rather a random lynch on the first day but not much point when everyone is no lynching.

Just because you might lost a townie? Losing a townie early on isn't great but we've got to go for a stab, I think and hope we get a mafia early on. A first night would have been helpful though.

Exactly, I don't think everyone will follow me so again not much point in a lynch. And the people being lynched shouldn't worry as it's only a random lynch unless they really get nervous and give something away but then again, we could do it against a newer member for that.

But why follow the crowd and make it easier for the mafia to hide? I am pretty sure they will love a situation where we have various members especially townies who post once or twice a day and have no discussion generated. I agree its early game, but random votes do kick off discussions.
Everyone might vote randomly, but it still gives reasons to go ahead and get a feel of all the members.

Ofcourse random votes will not read to a lynch. But the point of random votes is not to lynch but give a chance for each townie to represent themselves.

I don't mind a situation where we have discussions through 2 days (random votes is just the starting discussion point) and then deciding a no lynch.
But mass voting "No lynch" with the first 5 hours in the game does not generate anything helpful.
Its the same as asking the mod to start at night 1 and shoot one of us dead even before the game has begun.
We have been given 3 days for a reason. Lets use it properly shall we before heading for a no lynch?

Role received.

Lynch - Matt121.

'First game and need to get used to it.'

Seriously, I'm not going to fall for the inexperience thing once again given how well Varun played last time round.

Ok, well I'll unlynch just to give some more chance for discussion. Not saying that I will lynch yet but I like the point you've given and give us the best chance to catch someone out.

Unlynch

Matt, you need to say Unlynch, then leave a line and say Lynch (Player). Although since your lynch was a no lynch, I'm not sure

----------

Never mind, just saw ARay's post.

So you aren't lynching User then?

----------

Matt, you aren't allowed to edit posts. I saw that you said no lynch and then you edited it so that you lynched User.

Anyway, it's so hard to read these inexperienced players who you've never seen play before. Unsure whether this is just a nervous first mafia move or the never played the game, unsure how to reply to a lynch thought.

Oh, you want me to get lynched ah. I sense something there.

Yeah mate, good going. I lynch you and you lynch me. :rolleyes

I doo agree quite reactionary from him.
Ahh well thats why I enjoy random votes, it gets members talking more.
Anyways lets make it even more interesting shall we?

Sorry, I was just surprised that he decided to unlynch altogether when he had lynched you before.

But yeah, a move which is hard to intepret with a new member. I will be watching him closely to see what other hints he gives and whether he acts more like a mafia or just a newbie.

You can keep certain things to yourself man :p
Its not always necessary to know every detail :p
