errr I'm normally in favour of a random lynch on the first day, but only if that player is inactive because there's no use having them around. Basically, if we don't lynch someone then we're missing an opportunity to potentially lynch a mafia, and they get a free kill at night. Yes the odds are likely that you won't hit a mafia, but an inactive person probably isn't going to be much use anyway.

Papa Smurf have you read any of the other mafia games? You could probably learn a lot from them and become a valuable help for us townies

Have read the first few, and glanced at the Simpsons one. I have learned a lot - didn't know what the hell this was when I first signed-up. Saw the words 'Harry Potter' and it was like a reflex click.

I'm guessing that those going for no lynch so far include the mafia, who are trying to fit in with what they perceive as the best move for the town - not risking a vote. Mafia would probably not want to lynch anyone on the first day unless other people have already done so.

Meeeh, you guys are lame, that's all I can say.
Just because you vote someone does not mean you are lynching them off at the end day.
There is no way to generate discussion this way if everyone no lynches.
A quick no lynch will get us nowhere, but help the mafia get a free kill with zero discussions.

Ohhh, I am totally fine with the lynch on me as long as we get discussions going.
We have to see about the inactives, I probably will not want to vote them off the first day itself. But maybe later in the game if they continue to be so, they can sure expect my vote even if they are townie.

The thing is (from my experiences anyway) it's pretty hard to get a proper discussion going on the first day, unless someone says something extremely stupid, due to the fact that we haven't had any information (write-ups) yet.

I'm normally for that, but sign-ups were taken only a few days ago, so it's unlikely that anyone's going to have gone inactive already.
