I refuse to accept that the southerners didn't care about miracle on ice, though i suppose that'd be for reasons more than sport.

Im not the best person to ask about the cultural effect of the "miracle" I was born a few years after it happened

Either way, Ice Hockey is non-existent down here even though the Stars have won the Stanley Cup a few times. The extent of my knowledge is Mike Modano, John LeClair and Brett Hull.

I watch the odd game when I have a few weeks off and become nocturnal, it's a great sport but not on at a feasible time for me to watch.
