How are you doing in ICC? (any version)

Well AB is my captain but I'm playing:

1. Smith/Pelser
2. Amla
3. AB de Villiers (C)
4. Smith/Pelser
5. Kallis
6. Roussow/McLaren
7. Vilas (Will bat ahead of McLaren if playing though
8. McLaren/O'Reilly
9. Flowers
10. Steyn
11. Friedel de Wet

I just scored 329/9 in a 40 over match with Durham against Worcestershire lol.

Decided to go for it, Di Venuto scoring 50 off 28 while Coetzer scored 59 off 40. I fell to 7/181 though. It was Dobson and Plunkett at the crease. Dobson scored 75 off 55 balls while Plunkett scored 76 at a run a ball with a 124 run partnership which is also Plunkett's highest List A score.

Ok, it's just that in one of my county games, by the third/fourth county season Worcestershire are actually pretty decent. (One of the top teams)
Then in another one they are complete rubbish, so I was wondering how far in you were.
I guess it all comes down to what regens each team gets, you only really need a couple of good ones to determine whether a side is good or not in ICC.

Well Dobson is turning himself into a batting all-rounder. He's taken 24 FC wickets @ 26.96 in 35 matches with best bowling figures of 4/53 and has taken 3 3fers as well as taking 10 OD wickets @ 14.4 in 28 matches but only started bowling this year in OD with 10 OD wickets @ 13 in 11 matches. (He bowled one over for 14 runs the previous season). Hasn't been too bad with the bat this season as well with 1271 runs in 15 FC games @ 70.61 with 2 double centuries and another 3 centuries. His OD record this year hasn't been as great though averaging only 25 with the 1 50.

I'm in 2015 in my Durham save and my batting attack is quite potent (when they're not on international duty). My only problem is that I only have one opener because I forgot I needed another one lol (Well I do have Mustard but he's crap). And my bowlers are only average.

My main problem is in OD matches because I start players too aggressively so they never score centuries, but have good strike rates.

Typical playing XI:
1. Kyle Coetzer, RHB, av 43 in FC, 30.4 in OD
2. Brian Langley, RHB, OS (all-rounder made into a makeshift opener), av 32 with bat in FC, av 15.5 with bat in OD (I normally open with someone else in ODs), av 31.3 with the ball in FC, 22 in OD, 22 in T20
3. Frank Hooper, RHB, LS, av 43.5 in FC, 42.5 in OD, 40.6 in T20 (S/R 143), 34.8 in Tests, 43.8 in ODIs, 26.9 in T20s. I also bowl him occasionally in T20s, has 15 wickets at 23.
4. Jonathan Greaves, RHB, av 59.2 in FC, 27.8 in OD(S/R 95), 34.8 in T20 (S/R 141), 38.4 in Tests, 25.4 in ODIs, 33.8 in T20Is (S/R 166)
5. Christiaan Schoeman, LHB, SLA (overseas player), av 61.3 in FC, 44.7 in OD, 37 in T20. Taken a few wickets too.
6. Peter Matterson, RHB, av 53.7 in FC, 37.4 in OD, 30.4 in T20, 46.5 in Tests
7. David Fallis, RHB (keeper), av 50.1 in FC, 35.2 in OD (S/R 100), 30.9 in T20, 28 in Tests
8. Liam Plunkett, RHB, RMF, av 23.3 with the bat in FC, 16.8 in OD and 16.6 in T20. av 32 with ball in FC, 29.8 in OD, 26 in T20
9. Raymond French, RHB, OS, av 34.6 with the bat in FC, 37.5 in OD, 22.5 in T20, av 30.1 with the ball in FC, 19.2 in OD, 42 in T20.
10. Graham Onions, RHB, RMF, av 27.5 with the ball in FC, 32.3 in OD, 18.1 in T20, 27.3 in Tests, 27.1 in ODI and 6.4 in T20Is
11. Mark Davies, RHB, RHM, av 24.6 with the ball in FC, 23.4 in OD, 23.3 in T20s.

As well as this I have:
Will Smith, av 40.8 with bat in FC,
Andy Sullivan, av 41.3 with bat in FC,
Neil Dexter, av 41.7 with bat in FC, 35.1 in OD,
Paul Borrington, av 35.2 with bat in FC,
I Hemantha (SL reserve overseas player), av 49 in FC, 42.5 in OD, 28 in T20, 36 in tests
Phillip Mustard
Tony Hawkins, RMF, av 27.6 with bat in FC, 22 in OD, 25.6 in T20, 36.7 with ball in FC, 29.4 in OD, 21.7 in T20, 24.1 in ODIs
Danny Remmington, RMF (NZ T20 player), av 31.4 with bat in FC, 34.8 in OD, 17.9 in T20, 26.9 in Tests, 23.7 in ODIs, av 36.4 with ball in FC, 45.2 in OD, 31.2 in T20s.
Stephen Harmison
Luke Fletcher, RFM, av 31.8 with ball in FC, 21.7 in OD, 20.7 in T20
Larry Freshwater, RF, av 34.3 with ball in FC, 26 in OD, 20 in T20
Steven Finn
Trent Boult (NZ T20 player)

My side is pretty strong overall, but everyone's always away on international duty which is annoying.

I only have one opener on my Durham save as well.
From what I've found it makes very little difference if you open with another player type, compared with an actual opener.
Quite often I stick Chris Woakes up there.

lol. I have Graham Onions, Steve Harmison and Mark Davies as my best bowlers with Plunkett next best (not including Aamer) and Plunkett was the only one to get called up for England despite being like 60 points worse than Davies and Harmison. Onions is just gun in this game.

I just really want to skip games but I don't want to ruin my players' averages while losing just to get through a few seasons quickly.

I don't play the England games. Plunkett gets called up over them because of his batting I think

He's not even in my starting XI, lol unless one of the 4 main bowlers are on INT duty or injured. I play:

1. Di Venuto*
2. Coetzer
3. Benkenstein
4. Dobson
5. McCulloch (still not showing his full potential averaging only 45 this season and a career average of 39)
6. Blackwell
7. Mustard (wk)
8. Aamer
9. Onions
10. Harmison
11. Davies

I dropped Mustard after the first season, he's not even worth having.
I think I only had Blackwell for one or two seasons as well.

Phil Mustard is averaging in the mid 30's for both forms of the game for the past 2 seasons which I don't think is that bad. Blackwell has been superb though.

In the first season, he had:

808 FC runs @ 38.48 in 14 matches, 3 100's, 2 50's
177 OD runs @ 59 in 7 matches, 2 50's

25 FC wickets @ 32.92, ER of 2.51
4 OD wickets @ 32.25, ER of 4.78

Second season:

674 FC runs @ 37.44 in 17 matches, 6 50's
141 OD runs @ 23.5 in 14 matches

36 FC wickets @ 31.89, ER of 2.63
19 OD wickets @ 21.26, ER of 4.34

And the current season:

617 FC runs @ 68.56 in 13 matches, 2 100's, 3 50's
209 OD runs @ 26.12 in 10 matches, 2 50's

45 FC wickets @ 23.51, ER of 2.66, 4 5i
7 OD wickets @ 50.86, ER of 5.16

More of a FC specialist but I have him in the OD side anyway.

Mustard averaged around the 20's for me.
Blackwell was decent, it's just that a few years down the track he's like 34-35, and I'd much prefer a younger player who I can sign cheaply for three seasons.

I have Mustard because he's my backup keeper

Blackwell was only good in my first season. Took quite a few wickets.
