How are you doing in ICC? (any version)

I'm through the group stage in the 2011 WC. Lost to the Aussies as I only scored 249. I brought in Rashid for Broad for the Scotland match. I think I will keep him in, although it was only Scotland I think 2 spinners is the way to go. Pettini hit his first hundred, scoring a single to win the game and finish 100*.

2 Spinners is definetly the way to go, i dont even use an all-rounder in odi games, i just let KP and Bell share 10 overs, with Tremlett, Anderson, Munday and Panesar using their 10 each. My tactic is 7 each from the 2 openers, then Munday for his 10, but then you use 5 from Bell with him, and after 5 Bell overs Monty is brought in to partner Munday for 10 overs, then once Munday's completed his 10 Bell/KP come in depending on the wicket. Then once Monty and Bell/KP finish up Tremlett and Anderson finish the show.

Flintoff gone in your game KP?

freddiw, what do you mean by .cap file? You mean the save file, right?

Aye, Freddie retired at the end of 2011/2012, and i've managed a season without him thus far and am still unbeaten in a series since 2009, and that was against Bangladesh. I've only lost 2 test series since 2006, a home series against Bangladesh and an away series against Australia. I thought i'd struggle without Freddie and Colly, but my team has improved i think, the batsmen that have come in, Bulman, Hughes and recently Cleef have all been fantastic, especially Bulman, he is the best batsman i've ever had in an ICC save, he is magnificent, scores on every pitch in every country, he's got 3 Odi 150's and he's got the test record batting score with 405*, and with an ever increasing test average of 85 he is showing his talent, what a player.

I play Freddie, but to be honest I'd cope without him. His bowling has waned in recent times, averages 35 in both forms this season. His batting is good though.

sureshot what year are you in????\\
when you go program files-xplosiv-ICC2006-saves there is the cap and sav files
can you please post them
i just hate doing the ashes world cup and 2007 summer etc etc

Yeh, his bowling went pretty downhill on mine aswell, but towards the end of his tenure even his batting took a knock in form. Jimmy Anderson's struggling in test cricket for me atm, been averaging 30+ for the past 2 years and i think i may have to find an alternative, maybe revert back to Harmy who's still doing fantastically well in FC cricket, has the most wickets and best average this season. I think i'll stick with him though, he does have aweosme hair afterall :p

I honestly cannot remember, think it was something along the lines of:
Strauss
Vaughan
Shah
Pietersen
Bell
Flintoff
Prior
Hoggard
Harmison
Anderson
Panesar

It wasnt until a year or two after that when i started using 2 spinners in both forms of the game on every wicket with Munday coming in. Pretty sure that's the team i used for the 06/07 ashes though. Slightly different to the team i use in 2013:
Cook
Wood
Bulman
Pietersen (c)
Hughes
Bell/Cleef
Prior
Munday
Tremlett
Anderson
Panesar

Quite a few unfamiilar names in there lol.

So No Collingwood Ever

thanks a heap im playing for the first test

strauss
cook
bell
KP
colly
flintoff
read
anderson
harmison
hoggard
panesar

Collingwood played a real bit-part role for my team, he came in whenever there were injuries or if i'd won a series with a test or two to go. I also never used Cook at the start of the game, batted too slow and then could only manage starts. I gave him till 2010 and now he averages well over 50 in test match cricket and makes big, consistent hundreds.

Playing as Surrey and Finished my 2015 season on a sad note -

CT : Missed out on a Hat-trick of truimphs as I finished 2nd in 'South' group.

T20 : Again, like last season - lost in the semis.

Pro Lge : Retained. In fact. completed a Hattrick of truimphs.

CC : Disaster. Got RELEGATED.Feeling highly depressed:(. In fact, there was tough competetion this season. Just look at this - Essex, the title winners, finished on 208 points. My team Surrey finished 8th with 186 points.

When I look back, there were atleast 3 games wherein I couldnt finish off. Two CC games agst. Hants wherein I couldnt get the last 2 wkts and 1 wkt respectively, which ended in draws. Then the match agst. Gloucs where, after giving a follow-on to them and with a 327 run first innings lead, I couldnt bowl them out as they finished with some 470 odd by draw of stumps on Day4.

Here's my progress over the seasons -

The 2011 WC is going well, 6 games in, in the Super 8s and I'm through to the next round already. I play Bangladesh and will try out a couple of players.

Had a tie with South Africa.

I hope that works...

My squad with ODI stats, note Davies, Pettini and Smith.

For some reason the images screw up the page so I'm not putting them in IMG tags. Click the link then click on the image and it'll be readable. Compton's 79 came in 43 balls. Davies took 3 of those wickets in his last two overs, I honestly thought they'd win, they needed 11 of the last 2 overs.

Just came back to ICC06 from ICCIII and I started a career with Lancashire with the option to take up England at a later date. First game in charge:
