How are you doing in ICC? (any version)

Who's your captain ? My captain in 2010/11 is the legend, Kevin Pietersen. It was Strauss until 2009, but then i dropped him as he became inconsistent. Cook and Wood are the openers in test matches, with Harvey and Wood in odi's. I have some cracking regens :D.

I might start playing this again(ICC3 more likely) but don't know wether to do country and county or just country.

Help?

Once i play ill show a pic of my second team. I got a really promising allrounder who averaged 78 in batting in his second team and 20 with the bowl, nice spinner no doubt.;)

I'm England and Lancashire, World cup hasn't started well with me coming second in the group and then losing first game in Super 8's to Pakistan. Pietersen has been immense though.

Cook is captain. If he's out then it's Trescothick.

Just won a 3 match test series against India, in India. I'm now way clear at the top of the rankings, and if i win the odi series against India i go top of the odi rankings aswell. My team are in magnificent form, GoJo is averaging 50 since coming back in the team, KP scored 2 hundreds in the series, Jon Bulman still averages 75 after 15 tests. I've also uncovered another quality regen, William Hughes who averages just under 70 after 2 test series against India and Pakistan, 2nd and 3rd in the test rankings, so he's doing really, really well. Wood and Cook are striking up a quality test match opening partnership, with both of them averaging in the 40's. Andrew Davies has come in to partner Jimmy Anderson in my bowling attack, with Freddie, Munday and Panesar providing extra bowling. I'm building a really, really solid team, England are awesome on ICC 2006.

edit: Just won the Odi series 2-1 :D. Went the exact same way as the test series, India won the first odi, then we came back and won the next 2 by batting first and setting totals of 320+. Jim Bulman made 150 in the 2nd game and 80 in the 3rd, KP also made 2 scores of 50 or more, Jim Bulman was the star though, an average of just under 60 in odi's, he's played around the world against the best in the world and scored runs against all of them. 3 odi innings of 150+ to his name aswell, top top player. I'm now top of the Test and Odi rankings :D. What did surprise me though, Bangladesh are 3rd in the Odi rankings :O

You took my advice on Davies then? :D I think it was you I said about Davies.

I won my first Ashes test. I bowled first and got them out for 379, Watson 144. Harmison and Jones 3 wickets each. 602-8 declared in my innings. 139 Bell, 136 KP, 82 Flintoff, 68 Cook. 40s from Tres, Shah and Rashid.

Then Jones, Monty and Rashid cleaned them up, with Jones grabbing a hat-trick and Rashid getting to 100 test wickets with the scalp of Stuart Clark. Prior did play, made a duck but took his catches.

Nice one, i lost the away Ashes 2-1, wasnt pleased. Winning the world cup made up for it though !!

Shane Watson is in good form with the bat on your game aswell then, he's ranked as the best Test batsman in the world on my game, with KP 2nd and Bulman 3rd. Have you got any good regens taking the first class game by storm ? Jim Bulman on your game ? I'll post a screen of my Test First XI in a min aswell, you can see each players current averages, Bulman is supreme.

Here's the screen, as you can see, Bulman and Hughes are fantastic. Michael Munday already has 310 wickets to his name, 70 more than Panesar who'd played only 4 games less. H Christie is going to be a top talent i think, he struggled in the 2 tests he played in India, but he has a great first class record, and performed well in an odi series i played him in against Pakistan. I have some quality regens, with Harvey, Rowntree, Christie, Hughes, Bulman and Wood all close to, or in the first XI. Tis a good side :D.

Still going well in 2018's winter ashes down under. Just won the first test by a wicket. Pietersens really old and I want himto retire just because theres so much quality coming through in the county game but he keeps making 100's like everyone else. Oh and mycleverly renamedplayer Joe McDonald still averages over 100 :p Anyway the first test:

Made 435, my number 1 Charlton made 124, number 3 Cole made 132, McDonald 60*.One of their bowlers got 5fer but who cares :p

Then they came out to bat, only 1 batsman got past 50, Munday took 5fer, my new paceman Arlott 3-36 and an old monty 2-66.Broad got 0 :(. I enforced the follow on and despite another Munday 5fer and Monty 4fer their number 4 and 5 got 100's and their 3 got 94. I needed 290ish to win, Solid start from Cook and Charlton but Charlton got to 30 and got out, Cook 52, my number 3 made 30 and 4 failed again. So did KP but cometh the hour cometh the man and Joe McDonald came out and made 80*. he wasn't backed up by the keeper New who made, Munday 5, Arlott 3, Broad 7 leaving Monty and McDonald to make a lot of runs to win. Out comes the montster and he blasts 24* off 100 balls and guides us home!

My team for the next game:

Tom New? :D

KP, I've not got many regens coming through tbh. I have Malick as an all rounder doing well. But most of the best county performers are real. Redfern averages nearly 60 in OD cricket, Naqaash Tahir, Smith and Tremlett run riot bowling wise.

Whats wrong with Tom New? :p Yeh his average has slipped from the 30's to 26 in recent years but he's still the 5th best ODI batsmen in the world.

Can you get me a screen of the first class top performers in your game with the bat and ball Sureshot ? Be interesting to see how our games compare ;D

Yeh will do, next time I go on.

Just played the 2nd Test at the WACA, match drawn, just too good a pitch. Monty took a five for, Rashid was disappointing as was Harmison. Batting wise everyone chipped in. Hundreds for Bell, KP and Tres. Shah hit 85 and passed 1,000 runs, Prior hit 44 and passed 2,000 runs. I've now got a friendly where I can rest players and try out some new fast bowlers as Harmy has taken 3 wickets in his last 3 'innings'.
