How are you doing in ICC? (any version)

Lost the ODI series 2-1 against Australia and after one whole year we were dropped to 2nd pos from 1st. Then we played Pakistan in a 3 Test and 3 ODI series..won the test series 2-0 and the ODI 2-1. Gambhir and Tendulkar both players who scored the most runs in both the formats. Then we played Pakistan in 1st match of our WC game which we won. Then we played Sri Lanka against whom we lost. Then we defeated the likes of minnows Bermuda, Bangladesh and Ireland and also defeated strong teams like South Africa to seal our place in the S8. In the S8 we faced NZ and we won that also. We went to the semis to face the Lankan and we took our revenge by defeating them this time. In the final we faced the defending Champion Australia. We defeated them and won the second WC in Indian history. Now we are in England to play 3 Test, 1T20I and 5 ODIS. Then we face South Africa for 3 Test and 3ODIs. Then we face Sri Lanka in 3Test and 5ODIs then again England comes to India to play 3 Test and 3 ODIs and then we go to West Indies to play 3 Test and 3 ODIs. So we have a long season up ahead and we hope to win most of them to seal our 1st place in both ODI and Test.

God Hughes is easy to get out IMO, with Broad. Bowl short leg side, He'll edge eventually. Only scored 1 century in the Ashes

Hughes couldn't score neither a century nor a half century against us in the series in 2010.

India just ***** me 3 nil in the Test series, I had no clue what to do, I got rolled for around 100-150 a couple of times. I'm easily the best Test and ODI team going around atm, too. Haven't lost a series, except IIRC an ODI series, since I took over from the South African ODI's.

Thats pretty good that his weakness is actually on the game... When I was labbing he hit numerous 150's in ODI's so im gonna stick with him for sure! Probably never drop him either.

Against good bowling sides in tests you just gotta get your batsmen in, if you up their aggression just slightly once they are half way in they will increase the scoring rate massively... occasionally you will lose a wicket straight after upping it but its risk v reward as in any sport and ive found that the reward occurs much more often than the risk with that strategy

Twenty20 World Cup Update
A lack of aggression cost me the World Cup... Not going hard enough to pick up the run rate in cloudy conditions left me just one run short.. with Pakistan hitting the winning run on the last ball it was a thriller. I should have learnt my lesson from the first group match where I lost by one run from not going hard enough with wickets in hand!!!

Most Runs In Series
Phillip Hughes - 311 runs @ 62.20
Shaun Marsh - 278 runs @ 69.50
Ricky Ponting - 187 runs @ 37.40

Most Wickets In Series
Shane Watson - 16 wickets @ 13.69
Brett Lee - 11 wickets @ 18.82
Nathan Bracken - 9 wickets @ 16.78

Shane Watson and the top order also dominated this series... Peter Siddle and Cameron White were impressive when swapping over for different pitches finishing with the best economy rate (due to not closing the innings) but Mitchell Johnsons last over in the World Cup Final killed us.. Nathan Bracken bowled the last over for only 2 runs and lost it on the last ball with an awesome effort

First up the tour match against Sussex will have selection issues at hand, Michael Hussey will be attempting to defend his spot in the team from his brother David and Marcus North. Two spinners will also be selected with Hauritz and White competing for the spot, with Cameron Whites batting performance down the order to also be taken into account.

Then the game against the MCC will be a warm up for the players before the test to get them into form. Simon Katich will test his fitness to see whether he will be able to play in the first test after having an injury which has left him out for the game against Sussex.

You have made me want to start a new save with AUS where Hughes is god. I might do it and not give a ████ about ratings.

My first ever game of ICC09.

I just played my first ever game of ICC 2009. I started an international career with Australia and just defeated South Africa by 122 runs in the first ODI.

Ponting's 114* came off 110 balls, whilst de Villiers' 81 came from 53 balls.

EDIT - Just played the 2nd ODI. Ponting dominated again, Hughes smashed 117* and Marsh hit a handy 60.
