How are you doing in your career?

Does anyone else have the problem where they can't get the call up to the domestic level? I've finished 2 seasons of club cricket with an average of 52.13 and I saw with other people's career modes they got the call up at the end of the 2nd season? I just simmed through the 3rd season and I still haven't got the call up!

Would suggest to enjoy your batting.. Only batting career takes longer time than all rounders as they do both batting and bowling.. Also since its a game you have to be certain level to proceed to the next level.. But if you really want a quick progress reduce the difficulty for selection process..

I only play career mode , if you set selection difficulty to easiest then you get domestic selection pretty quickly , in my experience after 1 season or max 2. Once I get selected for domestic team(s), I put selection difficulty back to normal so international selection is really earned

I have selection on Hard and I am in my 3rd season of Domestic level.. But the game is really enjoyable to play [despite its flaws] so I dont mind when I get selected to International but still waiting to see that "cap receiving ceremony" cutscene..

lol i'm in 2022 and averaged 95 for the last 3 or so years in shield matches (selection normal). Every time i check selection "No chance". Righto. Now I know how Brad Hodge felt lol.

Career mode was perfect a few patches ago. In my experience, batting career modes can still be fun, but due to the lack of edges and wickets, allrounders and bowlers are out of luck.

Career mode was perfect a few patches ago. In my experience, batting career modes can still be fun, but due to the lack of edges and wickets, allrounders and bowlers are out of luck.

Maybe try and play around with the ball and pitch friction. Put both on 80 and see what happens. If wickets are too easy then decrease the values. I remember a while ago when I changed the ball friction that there was an edge immediately. I also struggled for a while to take any wickets.

For call up, I had no choice but to set selection difficulty to easy, and kept my difficulty to Pro (Medium, Medium, Medium) till I got into Ranji, now using Pro (Hard, Medium, Medium)!

I've kept my selection difficulty at normal, match difficulty at Veteran and the rest is Hard hard and hard. Almost finished 2nd season and no call up.

With Cricket 19 coming out soon it maybe too late for this series. Hopefully in my new career mode series I'll have better luck.

Really wanted to break into 1st class level before cricket 19 got released.
