need to get better at manouvering. my go to shots being drives or the cut shot (though beginning to lose that a bit) i can usually bash my way to anywhere between 15/30 before the field changes, but i usually get out quickly after

Same im to leg side try to play through midwicket but always goes behind square and caught!!! :mad Love coming in at 5 in one day games and t20 needing something 70 off 35 great fun! haha Loving it tho.. My averages are lower 2nd season than 1st. Need to pull it together ! Trying too hard and i'm doing worse... getting out to my go to shots now so im scared to play any shot! lol

Bloody hell :(

Good news: new highest list A score of 46 and now getting attention for Aus 50 over comp. (an average of 11.67 will do that for you!)

Bad news: missed out on my maiden List A 50... I had just got to 46, field changes... What's that, mid-on totally open? And the bowler gives me a middle-stump half-volley begging to be driven? And I got excited and put too much LS pressure and shouldered arms and got out LBW? and my heart broke? Yes to all...

I also almost made my maiden limited overs 50.
Got to 48 and given out lbw as I totally missed the ball. Reviewed it on the off chance and hawkeye showed the ball just missing off. Overturned!
Got to 49. Loads of short balls. Skied one to mid off. :(

Just love the pressure you feel when near a milestone... No other cricket game has it!

Completely agree, I got 3 50s & 1 100 until now and there is no way I am forgetting them because I felt so tensed while getting those runs. I screamed when I got out on 77 & 64 runs twice.

None of the other games has made me to feel like this one. I am yet to play my first tour match or first online game outside career mode, completely obsessed with my career mode. :p

That sounds frustrating.

After getting to a certain point on my inswing skill, and my ability to constantly get almost perfect line and length, I'm starting to see some silly AI batting. My previous best in FC was 10/74 (6/35 for an inning) and in OD I had never even gotten more than 3 wickets. I had a total of 8 wickets in Pro40 in 7 matches at an average of 25.

Then in my last OD match, I finally had my "AI being incredibly stupid" moment. We batted in an OD match first against Essex and put up 250 including my 21(8) in the last two overs. They start off chasing aggressively but eventually Chris Jordan and I tie them down and even pick off one of the openers. They're 105/1 in 22 overs when I come back for my second spell.

First over: W2W0WW
Second over : 000WW1

I forget how the other overs went but they were bowled for 112. Which means they lost 9 wickets for 7 runs after being 105/1 at one point. Epic, epic collapse. I ended up with figures of 9/17. Almost all of my wickets were bowled or LBW, with 2 or 3 caught, and the set batsmen were both bowled while missing the line by a mile.

My next FC match was crazy as well. In two innings I went 9/40, all in a total of 13 overs.

Is it possible to change the career mode difficulty or do I choose that only at the beginning?

An interesting observation on career mode if you play as a specialist batsman... your team's chances are inversely proportional to your performance, i.e. if you do well as a batsman the more likely is your team to lose, or not win. This is a direct correlation of AI batsmen not doing too well when they "bat" in the game as opposed to when they are simulated.

As an example, I play as a no. 3 batsman and my three top scores in various formats and the team results are as follows...

FC - HS of 107 and result a draw. Thankfully we led by more than 150 after the 1st innings else we could have lost the game.

List A - HS of 71 and result a loss.

T20 - HS of 88* (54 balls) and result a loss and I ended up being MOTM.

The problem I've seen is that the more you bat, the more your peers have to bat along with you and they keep on getting out, or play like dolts in shorter formats. Nearly every time I get a decent score there's a sort of collapse and I see my batting partners trudge back to the pavilion. In shorter formats, your batting partner hogs the strike and plays out dots. E.g., in th T20 where I scored unbeaten 88 the run rate for the most part was more than 10 but as wkts started falling (which happens), my batting partners started playing dots and I was stuck at non-striker's end for a long time resulting in us getting a score of 170 odd when 200+ was on the cards.

Conversely, when I fail I silulate to career player so rest of the innings is simulated and lo and behold! The other batsmen suddenly start scoring for fun. You suddenly see Shaun Marsh churn out 150+ for Western Warriors or Khwaja thwack a 50 ball 90 for Sydney Thunders. But when you are batting alongside they do none of that :(

I'm hoping the improved AI batting, once it's patched in, will result in AI batting better alongside you and your significant contributions will actually help in your team winning. Thankfully I've Geoff Boycott's attitude towards batting and team be damned as long as I can increase my batting average, which is very un-Boycottesque at the moment :D

@BigAntStudios, do look into making AI batting solid as it does have an impact on career mode as well. Earlier I thought that wouldn't be the case but unfortunately my experience has proven otherwise :(

It's not we have found but I will have @HBK619 check it out.

I am doing pretty well. I am a Wicketkeeper batsman named J.Barnes. I've got a few fifties and a 95 in First Class, 4 fifties and nice little 40s in List A and a few quick thirties and a 69, which was a MOM perfomance in T20. I'll play the t20 finals today for Nottinghamshire.

Hmm. I simulate everything until i have to bat. And i have done decent with scores of 40+ regularly and some below 20s. and so far my team has lost all the matches.

Hey guys and maybe some girls although I doubt it being a cricket fan or a nerd is fine but both would probably make half the guys heads explode on this forum, anyways after a few days off cricket and after I cone back from taking my wife out to bowling and dinner I'm gonna have another crack at my career mode again, currently after my first season I am averaging 17 in Fc 21 in one day and 28 in t20 selection status is poor only ipl has moved to long way off. 9 50s over all formats with a high score of 78 cheers guys

Consistent scores over 30.

Even though my storage hard drive shows the save... but some how game doesnt read it at all... No idea what to do.... never felt this bad for losing a game data before.
