I am and I have been asked to bowl once, but I started a new career as No3 Pure Batsman and bowled on debut and got 4/13

So after that you had any chance to bowl regularly part time?

I wanted to wear compression gear on during fielding and bowling but i don't want that while batting. Just like glasses i want them while fielding, but not while bowling. Very frustrating. :facepalm

I haven't played IPL yet. I will probably get chosen now in my 3rd yr cause i am a CORE Member there.

Finally saw my Helmet Number go to NO.2 thought it would never happen.

Loving this game and waiting for patch 2 so i can build on this career not starting on a easier level .......no ways. :cheers

I haven't been playing lately, so I can't tell you, sorry.

Current best figures for a 4day inning of 7 for 28. Against Warwickshire in a total of 101! :spy

I've almost finished my first season for Victoria (just the last Ryobi cup match left)

Shield:
15 matches, 105 wickets, average and strike rate both about 10.
batting average of 37, HS of 103 one century and four 50s.

Ryobi:
14 matches 39 wickets, haven't checked average and strike rate
batting average of 25, HS 44.

Despite being the leading wicket taker in the league in both forms (and took 19 wickets as leading wicket taker in Big Bash), it took until final Shield match to be given the new ball, and I am regularly bowled half as much as the other bowlers even when I take a bag and the others can't get any. Lost count of how many times I bowl a 5 over spell and get 3 or 4 for under ten and I am taken off for the next 30 overs as the batting team miraculously rebuild after I'm taken off but I still don't get the ball back for ages.
I'm sure that have spoken about this but it needs to be addressed in a sequel if not a patch.

In my second year now and I have apparently become a regular member in the Australian shield and getting attention for Pakistan Tests as well.

Just had a frustrating FC match against Surrey though. I had them down 4/26 almost by myself and then eventually 6/70-odd before three of their bowlers hit us for centuries and took the score close to 500 runs before we bowled them out. :facepalm On top of that our batting lineup is fragile these days so we lost by an innings and 40 runs from having being in a great position.

Also, has anyone determined what controls the skill level number on the helmet? I thought @MattW had mentioned it goes up as you max out a skill but mine went up to 2 even though I haven't maxed anything out yet.

I had this explained to me in person at one point - my recollection is that it's based on percentages, so (made up numbers) level 2 would be having two stats above 60% and another one above 30%, level 3 having 3 above 70% and another two above 40%, etc.

So maxing out one bar alone wouldn't achieve it, but nor do you need to obtain a perfect balance in your stats to go up, but the higher the level, the more skills you need to be strong at to reach it, as well as needing an increasing level of overall skills.

very sorry if this has been discussed as i dont come here often. Is there any prospect of a auto simulate option being included where it will always simulate to my career players next move without me having to go to the menu and select it each time?

many thanks

That makes sense since my rank got promoted with my in-swing at something 90% and out-swing getting a big bump to get close to 30%.

Playing as an opening batsman. Have been asked to bowl a few times but it really is only occasionally. I'm not sure why it's not more often as when I do bowl my SLA I clean up :) Tends to happen more in short format games, not so much in the 4 day stuff.

Personally I found that my batsman setup has had a big impact on my success. My first career player I chose front foot as my primary skill, ramped the strength way up and ended up with a "brute" player batting at 4. Got caught out flicking off the pads to deep square leg plenty of times and often struggled coming in against the spinners. Felt like a lottery most of the time. Not fun. Just frustrating.

Second career player I chose on-side as my primary skill, dialed down the strength to just above half and ended up with an "opportunist". I haven't been caught at deep square (yet) and have had WAY more success and therefore FUN with the game. My dude can't tonk it out the park easily but I can still score boundaries just placing the ball well. Now at least by the time the spinners come on I'm either settled in...or out.

I'm a bowler

my best bowling in tests is 9/21

i got 2 10 wicket haul in tests and about 6 5 wicket hauls

odi is 6/24

t20 is 4/20

all this figures comes with a low economy

I'm almost done with my 2nd year in career mode and I'm an opening batsman (nr 2) and I'm only a batsman. I'm just about going into the English cricket now. Stats: Twenty20: Innings: 18, NO: 1, Runs scored: 1206, Top score: 125, Average: 70.94, S/R: 245.62, 100s: 3, 50s: 9. List A: Innings: 29, NO: 2, Runs: 1986, Top score: 146, Average: 73.56, S/R: 237.27, 100s: 9, 50s: 10. FC: Innings: 56, No: 1, Runs: 3035, Top score: 319, Average: 55.18, S/R: 180.76, 100s: 9, 50s: 16. I wasn't good at the start so I'm on pro,but it is getting easy now and I don't want to start over,so hope I get into the national side soon.

Dont understand with those figures u havent made the national side yet. Im a batting all rounder and got selected at age 17 in my 2nd yr for national sides. And my batt avg was between 15-19
I get that im a all rounder and might have been picked for bowling but ur batt avg are both over 70 so how they havent picked u I dont understand.

How about u upload a photo of ur career player and what his statis is for all the different formats :thumbs

I wanne see that.

Cause if ur batt avg are true u must be fkng good at this game to be in ur 2nd yr with hardly build up batting stats with scores and avg's like that. :cheers
