Can anyone please tell me why isn't acceleration considered as negative when force and acceleration are decreasing.

Not sure what you're saying. Given you're dealing with Newton's laws, force is proportional to acceleration, so assuming the mass is constant, a decrease in force implies a decrease in acceleration. It's standard to consider the acceleration negative here, but if you're looking 'with respect to the negative' it is a positive decrease, so that works too.

Trying to learn Astrophysics for my exam in a month. Just not happening at the moment

I know that feel bro. Can't relatives understand its none of their business? :facepalm

I've also gone through this situation. When I opted for economics, maths, and computer applications, my relatives asked me, '' Why have you not choosen science? You should 've taken science!" Damn Indian thinking! :-(

Vacations starts finally. Time to relax and enjoy. I'll spend more time for sleeping btw.:p
