Yes the Broad/Anderson slingy action is the easiest one to learn imo. If you like bowling try persevering with it as it is rewarding when you tie batsman down etc
Yes always bowl with no HUD, even for ODI's. Obviously more pressure as danger of free hits, but it keeps me on my toes
I always use custom fields, usually have fine leg up in the circle and have boundary riders on cover and square leg boundaries in first powerplay. Get third man in after that to stop unrealistic CPU shots in that area.
I have 2 house rules (Which yes you shouldn't need, but there you go)
1. do not have deep mid on or off. Either keep them up or on the boundary
2. Only have 1st slip for spinners. no 2nd or 3rd slips etc otherwise get unrealistic catches to good shots
This all helps in having more realistic experience imo
