I think they have improved a lot since then and should not be considered minnows. At least this is what I think. It's good for Cricket that a team has emerged.

Like, I don't get it. When we beat New Zealand in 2013, some guy was on about "trash talking" before wanting to have us smashed, but we won anyway. When some of our more passionate fans retaliated badly to other fans, they were burned at the stake while completely ignoring the abuse they got. When we beat England in that test match, some guy was on about "arrogance" or something when our players retaliated to Ben Stokes being Ben Stokes. When we had one bad game against England, you were suggesting that we don't even be a part of this tournament. We're getting to the semis now and you're like "do they deserve this" instead of "hey this'll be a great experience for them to compete near the top". A very fair point was raised by the commentary team regarding the one-dimensional nature of Australia's bowling attack - there were very slower balls, cutters or wide yorkers to build pressure. Pacers were primarily bowling full and straight at 140-145 km/h, making it easy for Stokes and Morgan who played exceptionally well. That's something to learn for the team.

It's weird seeing Australia crash out this early given their lineup is arguably the second best in the tournament behind India's. It is difficult to point one particular department either. Just unlucky perhaps.
