Good to see the middle order being tested on a very slow surface much conditions ideally suited for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan finally picked up the right team I feel all three spinners playing (Rashid,Mujeeb and Nabi) and bowled tightly to the Indian batsmen even with the new ball.

I don't think we are under the spot of bother yet. We have been under this situation in NZ but we still went on to score 250+ and won by 20+ runs and we all know about the collapses that Afghanistan has gone through in this tournament. Even if we get 230-240 we can win the match.

Contrary to our current run rate, the commentators all day long have been describing the pitch as an ideal batting surface. Really wish Dhoni manages to up the ante versus the pacers or Pandya comes in and smashes the spinners. I’m fairly confident of defending even 220 versus the Afghanis but a similar performance versus another side could be disastrous.

We are seeing glimpses of cricket that was being played in the 90's era. Thats what good bowling and supportive wickets can do for you. Two top teams struggled against just a fine to ordinary bowling lineups, England against Lanka and now India against Afghanistan.
