Can't believe I missed the last night game after watching the WI collapse thought it was all over but what an innings from Carlos Braithwaite amazing stuff from WI but unfortunately they are out of the tournament.

Is it wrong that the only time I`ve felt hurt after an ODI is when WI and AFG lost today? The feeling of hurt is real! Probably I`ve finally transitioned from being an India fan to a cricket fan. This sport is cruel. I tried to pen down some thoughts around these two games today.

I haven't seen the Windies game but from what I saw in India v/s Afghanistan was the calmness of the side actually won the game. The side that was calmer in crunch moment went on to win. I had a belief throughout the match sooner or later these guys are going to lose a wicket but then it was like you've still got to work hard. Had India lost the match you would've also felt for a man whose name was Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah. The guy has something special in him. Throughout the match there was no sign of panic in him. He knew he had to take his side home but he also knew that only way he can do it was sticking to the basics, that old school approach ! You do what you know the best and Bumrah did what he knew the best. He bowled mostly in the good length area then he mixed it up with few short balls, off-cutters, slower balls, yorkers all these are his strength and he stuck with his strength and got those crucial wickets. In the 49th over Nabi went for a massive hoik in to the stands and there you can hear a pin-drop silence in the crowd. But as the over went Bumrah showed his brilliance once again and the crowd came alive. He stuck with the same length that he likes to bowl and the Yorkers he bowled were right on the money. Again the last over Nabi went straight down the ground for a boundary but who knows if the man at long-on was a bit straighter Nabi would've hit straight to the man ? He did exactly that the very next ball. I call it lack of game-awareness rather than a sad end. For a moment, I too thought that Nabi will finish this off after the boundary he hit on the first ball but again this was inexperience of Afghanistan which cost them the match. They did not win because they were not good enough. And these things would definitely make them better in future. In my view it was a well-deserved victory for India at the end. The game-plan, the game-awareness, the fielding placements, the bowling changes were absolutely spot on from India and that is the reason why they won. In all the great game of Cricket. Well played Afghanistan and good victory for India. The tournament has come alive once again :cheers

Watched the highlights and it was the first time I saw Vijay Shankar bat. I got a feeling that he is more suited to the role of an accumulator, i.e someone who will keep the scoreboard ticking with the occasional boundary, but will struggle to accelerate at will. So if he is in the team, sending him during the death overs might not seem like a very good idea.

On the other hand, we have slow starters in Rohit and Dhoni and to some extent Jadhav, so not really sure where to fit him. Ideally he shouldn't be finding a place in the team but the think tank seem to differ. I would definitely play Pant ahead of him. He and Pandya possess enough firepower to help India get those crucial 20-25 runs at the end.

Anyone has the link of longer match highlights? Hotstar had only 15 minutes need atleast 45 mins one to watch the matches I have missed.

I'm putting my money on Pakistan today. Might get to see their unpredictable nature at play here.

So Nephew-ul-Haq is playing, which is not surprising. But who is going to bat at 6? The only suitable option is Hafeez. If Sarfraz or Haris bat at 6, it'll show just how brainless this management is. Where in the blue hell is Asif Ali?

You expect 45 mins highlights in place of 15 mins when ICC just uploads 3-5 mins Highlights.

And where will you get those ? :p

I don't know why some people think we should get rid of Imam Ul Haq, he is not a bad batsman, his average is 55.29 in ODI and I think imam and Fakhar opening the batting is good.
Asif Ali is a poor batsman to be honest, he is nothing like Afridi, Afridi was a great bowler and fielder as well and Asif Ali is none...i miss having Afridi down the order.

Against top 5 teams he has a strike rate of 75. That's disqualifying in my opinion.

Why did he play that shot??? Poor shot from Fakhar Zaman, It's like he just had enough and wanted to get out.

75 is not a horrible strike rate for a opening batsman, give him time because he is still young and we don't any good opening batsman like Rohit Sharma right now.
You're kidding, right? If every batsman played at that S/R, we'd score 225. He drags the other batsmen down by playing so slowly.[DOUBLEPOST=1561287242][/DOUBLEPOST]And right now, instead of taking singles to relieve the pressure, he's blocking 5 out 6 balls in one over :clap[DOUBLEPOST=1561287336][/DOUBLEPOST]And Babar is not any better at keeping the runs flowing at the start of his innings
