What do people think of it ?
I am sure it was not out. The 3rd umpire should have had a closer look but seemed he was in a hurry and gave him out. It was given not out on the field so he had to be sure of it being out. There was a doubt as the ball clearly hit the pad but it might not have hit the bat.

Just wanted to ask a question. What do you think of Rohit's dismissal ? Was it out or not out ?

Worst decision of this world cup after that no-ball miss from Starc

Just the hurry with which the decision was made makes it all the more worse.

On the subject of Dhoni, half the reason for the hate he garners is due to the rabid and slightly toxic section of his fanbase.

He deserves credit for scoring in the last over to bring us to 268. But his approach is extremely risky and this is why he is being criticized. He would have been gone long before if Hope had made a simple stumping. Also if Thomas hadn’t bowled one of the poorest last over I’ve ever seen, Dhoni wouldn’t have been able to finish so well. He scored only one boundary during the death overs prior to the last over. Expecting Hardik to be the aggressor for 9 out of 10 overs in the death phase while Dhoni plays anchor is a bit ridiculous.

The only situation where this becomes okay is if you’re a Joe Root who has scored the bulk of runs in the middle overs by actively rotating the strike and keeping the runs flowing while you have a player like Morgan going bonkers at the end. But Dhoni starts extremely slowly and this is very much not the first time Kohli’s got out after a string of dots thanks to Dhoni. At the very least, Dhoni is partly responsible for his partners’ getting out due to the run rate going down.[DOUBLEPOST=1561645717][/DOUBLEPOST]
Kohli's dismissal in PAK v IND?

Given that Kohli himself was walking, I wouldn’t really call that as one of the worst errors.

Oh god, it's going to be massively hard for Bhuvi to come back into the XI after the bowling display that Shami is putting up. This is a brilliant start from Shami, sniffing out Gayle and Hope.

I just wish Shami or Bumrah or Kulcha can start batting better. Maybe push them harder in the nets with their batting.

I just laugh at all these comments on social media/Cricinfo that suggest opening the batting with Pant and Rohit. That'd not have solved India's problems in both today's game and the AFG game. Rahul batted well and scored at the top in both games. It was Rohit who failed both times. And who can say that Rahul would not have failed in the middle? The first few games, India batted on very good batting pitches and Rahul came in very late in the innings where he was needed only for a few balls as Rohit/Dhawan/Kohli/Pandya did almost 95% of the work. Saying that Rahul moving up has hurt our balance, sounds silly to me. Dhawan's exit has also unfortunately coincided with us getting pitches where run scoring has not been easy. I'd say that we need to keep calm and continue with Rahul-Rohit at the top and hope for Rohit to shrug off these two failures and get back in form.

Shami is good bowler and I think India should be giving him more chances, I want to see him against a good team England and Bangladesh and see how well he does.

Just to add to the freakish coincidence for Paks 1992 campaign, they beat NZ in 49.1 overs then as well :rolleyes

That's pretty insane, although I still stick to my thoughts that in 92 we had a great leader in Imran Khan, in general an insane line-up and in this WC we have Safraz...although the lineup is young like back then, I just don't see it happening!

Exactly what I am saying, Sarfaraz is nothing compare to a great cricket captain and leader like Imran Khan, I still think we should replace him after the world cup..even if we win it (I doubt it)

Kuldeep Yadav is bowling beautifully here. Surprised that Chahal has bowled just one over so far.[DOUBLEPOST=1561650537][/DOUBLEPOST]

And Chahal gets a wicket in his 2nd over. Half the Windies side back in the hut now !!!!

The first few games, India batted on very good batting pitches

TBH the pitch in the first match was one of the most difficult one for a subcontinent team and Rohit got a 100 there after a dropped catch. The pitch today is a lot better than the one which we played in the last match. So far in this WC it's like Rohit does well with the bat then India does well. And today he was unfortunate to get out. No doubt that Rahul did well at the top of the order but if Dhawan was there and Rahul playing at 4 was just the perfect combination. I think DK should come in now

And he has missed it :(

Was a good slower delivery that one. Well played from Roach.

Will never get tired of saying this, it feels amazing to have the best pace bowler on this planet in our side. :clap

Windies are way too much inconsistent and unpredictable. Such kind of style doesnt worthy to be qualified. Indian fans were literally worried what Windies can come up with and rightly so considering the unpredictability WI posess

The last thing I want is a handy 30-50 run partnership for the last wicket. Yes, there's no way WI are winning this but it would be frustrating if the bowlers fail to get that one last wicket. Win it by 130+ runs margin I would say.
