How do you bring in Bhuvi when Shami takes a four wicket haul :spy

This might annoy some people here but Bhuvi doesn't deserve the place in XI from the first instance itself considering Shami's performance in the ODI vs New Zealand and Australia home ODIs based on that performance itself Shami for me becomes an instant selection if we are to pick only two frontline seamers.

That was a royale thrashing for West Indies. And yes I am going to say this - MS Dhoni's innings felt to me a lot more match winning than Virat Kohli's innings. He got unnecessary brickbats both today and during the last game. I wouldn't worry about him. We saw how he batted against Australia when India were trying to set a massive total. He got 27 off 14 balls there.

And Kohli beautifully sums up MS Dhoni's value with this comment

We have quite a few players who play instinctive cricket. He's one guy who sends out a message that what the par score is on a pitch. If he says 265 is a good score on a pitch, we don't aim for 300 and end up scoring 230. We have quite a few players who play instinctive cricket. As I have mentioned before, I would get Karthik in for Shankar and move Dhoni up to No. 4 with Dhoni, Jadhav, Pandya, Karthik in that order. The wristies and Shami have made life absolutely miserable for selectors who would want to try strengthening the lower order batting. I hope that once our middle order sorts itself out, our lower order might not be of concern.

With Shami performing so well, it might open up the inclusion of Jadeja in the XI perhaps.

Where would Jadeja slot in? No point fixing the bowling when batting is the real issue.

Where would Jadeja slot in?

Right now, Jadeja can slot into the XI only as a pure batsman. That's how the bowling unit of India has become. (Touch wood)

Even Bhuvneshwar Kumar cant come back into the XI. That injury he sustained in the Pakistan game has pushed him out of favor.

I`d go with this lineup for the next game that offers the best of both worlds. Its a game we can afford to lose and also a game that the opposition will take seriously.

Sharma
Pant/DK
Kohli
Dhoni
Rahul
Kedar
Pandya
Jadeja/Bhuvi
Shami
Chahal
Bumrah

Jadeja doesn't have any ODI batting pedigree. It will further weaken the batting. I'd punt with Pant as an opener against England. It takes the pressure of match situation away from him. KL was doing fine in the middle order. Dhoni is to only be utilized to stall a collapse. As I said before, you won`t get a better low-pressure game where stakes are high! Its a little paradoxical but that is what the India-Eng game offers. Good competition and a stage which matters to England.

Well, it's quite obvious that he could come in for one of the leggies to provide some firepower to India's brittle lower order. It may not be a good decision due to the success of the KulCha partnership, but his inclusion can be an option.

Jadeja up against Morgan is one duel that I definitely do not want to see!

With India all but certain to make the semis, I would give a much needed rest to Bumrah and bring back Bhuvi if he is fit to play.

I would also rest Chahal but not Kuldeep. Bring in Jadeja in his place. And finally, 'drop' Shankar and draft in Pant in his place. Pant could open and push Rahul down the order.

I know it would not happen, but I would like to see Kohli sit this one out and see how India performs without him. Chasing is something that we will need to do too and it would be great if we get to do it on at least 2/3 occasions. Otherwise we might see a repeat of WC 2015 SF.
