OMG what a stunner of a catch from Stokesy there !:eek:

What a catch by Stokes. Absolutely the best all-rounder in the world if you count all three disciplines.

Mr.Pandya might have something to say about that. (limited overs cricket only)

That catch taken by Stokes is not good news for anyone non English. Stokes is the sort of bloke who will feed off from that and lift his other disciplines.

I still believe, that his innings today was sluggish and not 80% as good as Stokes can be. Ominous signs if he starts hitting his best!

Bats a bit too low, can he play an innings like Stokes did today? Genuine question, i have not seen him play much.

Well that was a disappointing end. SaF bowlers did well to restrict the mighty English batting lineup. SaF definitely someone in that middle order who can bat through as well switch gears when needed. ABD? :spy

In limited overs, he certainly can. At the moment, Stokes can't tee off like Pandya. Bowling wise, Pandya is bowling better with the white ball. Fielding wise, I think they're equals.[DOUBLEPOST=1559234870][/DOUBLEPOST]I genuinely believed that Bumrah was the difference between England & India but looks like with the inclusion of Archer, England are now clearly ahead.

Please don't compare, even as an Aussie Supporter. Stokes is 100% the best all rounder in the world atm. Think about it, Pandya is nothing but a slogger. Can't play any bowler that can consistently bowl 140kph or more. Mediocre bowler as well. Only think he can be compared to Stokes is with his fielding.

Replace Woakes with Wood and we will be virtually unbeatable.

Cheering Asif Ali tomorrow! I don't care much about anything else. On a human level, I just feel for him. Hope he makes a ton. I don't know why I bet vCash on WI![DOUBLEPOST=1559235777][/DOUBLEPOST]

Mate, we were talking about Hardik Pandya here. Not Mitchell Marsh![DOUBLEPOST=1559235887][/DOUBLEPOST]Tomorrow is going to be the most mental match of this tournament. Both teams are capable of absolutely anything. :lol

Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan beg to differ. He had a brilliant game today, when on song he bats, fields and bowls brilliantly but he is not the BEST ALL ROUNDER. He has more poor days when compared to his good days. An economy of 6.15 with a bowling average of 42 is not the best. He is good, no denying that, but he is not the best all rounder in the world.

I agree with the above. I think in test matches, he (Stokes) is head and shoulders above anyone else. But in limited overs, he has enough of his peers every bit as good. For heaven's sake, Australia has Maxwell and Stoinis both who are capable of making a claim for the same.

England makes their noted by their first win , Unpredictable vs unpredictable tomorrow

Mitch Marsh actually has pretty good stats in ODIs. His horrendous red ball skills actually ruin his reputation in limited overs cricket, where he’s actually a good player (just like his brother). Dare I say, he might be comparable to Stokes himself. He’s definitely a better option than Stoinis for the number 6 or 7 slogger that they seek, and is probably a better bowler too.

Stokes is mightily overrated in T20s, but his ODI game is fine, as he would probably be in the side as a pure batsman under most circumstances. His aggression and bowling has certainly fallen a bit since his Bristol incident for sure. In tests though, Stokes has no equal, barring Shakib.

Pandya’s definitely the better in T20s without any doubt, but I don’t see him playing the kind of innings that Stokes played today at the moment. He’s definitely got the potential to be a better batsman without any doubt, if he’s allowed to bat higher up the order. All that he lacks is the ability to rotate strike easily.

Faf very nearly joined county cricket as a Kolpak player before breaking into the national team due to the lack of opportunities he received, until AbD intervened and convinced him that his chance was around the corner, reminding him of national duty if I’m right. I think it’s time Faf returned the favor ;)
