Chahal has bowled so beautifully. I really wish Kuldeep gets his mojo back

Good to see Virat sticking with the wrist spinners who have been a major weapon for India in the middle overs of ODI's since the CT 2017. Looks like we have done well so far considering it is RSA's bowling that has suffered and not the batting. Can someone tell me how Bhuvi has bowled in this match? Did he get any movement or he looked flat? Good to see Chahal doing well in the first game, will definitely help his confidence.

Has bowled economically due to the fact that Bumrah put on the breaks early on. He did not look threatening at all in his first few overs. He did get few odd balls to seam and swing.[DOUBLEPOST=1559738998][/DOUBLEPOST]Once again the lower order syndrome strikes us. This is going to be so crucial this WC since all the team's have a good solid lower order. Morris has done really well for SaF so far and helped them reach 200 here. We need wickets and now!

I personally think Bhuvi bowled superbly in his first spell. He was unlucky not to get a couple of poles. Good swing and he was bowling 82-84 mph. He's also had a couple fall in no man's land in the death.

Morris who couldn't hold a bat in the last few inning that I have seen him bat has made a pretty handy contribution here. I have to say I was expecting us to bundle them out under 200 but they have got much more then that.

How good is Mark Nicholas in the comm box! Great to listen to him and have him back after channel 9 contract was not renewed for cricket broadcast in Australia.

He alongside Ian Smith , David Bumble Llyod, Kumar Sangakkara, Nasser Hussain and Ganguly are my personal favorite commentators to listen among the current crop.

230 is really a good comeback from Africa, the ball is turning a little and if Rabada gets some swing.. we can be in for an interesting match.[DOUBLEPOST=1559740114][/DOUBLEPOST]

Plus for me I would add Harsha and Graeme Smith.

Anyone noticed that Hashim Amla was batting with a different stance today ? It seemed more like an open stance and he was looking for boundaries early on in his innings.

Just knew that we also have a 2nd match today - BAN vs NZ . This shouldn't have been scheduled when there is already a crux match IND vs SA in the day .

None except those two countries would be interested .
I mean Bangladesh and New Zealand fan would watch their own match. Plus its Eid so a holiday in Bangladesh as well and probably New Zealand.

If Bangladesh win today, I would put them as a serious contender to life the trophy. They need to hold on to their emotions and nerves and they are world beaters.

I think this innings was generally positive for us. Plenty of room for added ruthlessness from a captaincy perspective and a gentle reminder that our fifth bowler is not going to be taking very many wickets and therefore adds pressure on the top 4 in buckets. The format these days is a very test mindset from 1-40 and a complete T20 mindset in the last 10. I think when we had them five down, we could have gone for the throat and forgotten about the spare bowler and just looked to finish them off!

An excellent performance, but without being very result oriented, a trick missed.

Harsha since 2016 controversy has decided to go a bit Manjrekar en route but yeah still better than Sanju Manju.
Alan Wilkins is another one I would like to add in that list.

Yeah it's definitely frustrating. Every now and then we dismiss the top-order and middle-order altogether and the lower-order have taken the match away from us. But I was listening to the commentary of Sourav Ganguly and he was saying something like "Sometimes you worry too much about things which aren't there and that puts you under pressure" might be the collapse forced them to bat a little more responsibly and that is why we weren't able to dismiss them ?

I’d take a 228 chase here. I think India have done pretty well here. Seeing that batting gets better as the day progresses and as the ball gets older, India should follow their conventional style of batting responsibly at the top and keep wickets in hand and they should chase this.

Great work from Chahal and Bumrah. Chahal has actually started to overtake Kuldeep these days. Hope the competition spurs Kuldeep to do better.

I would have thought Rabada will be the biggest threat and therefore opening the bowling?
