So it was a beautiful day in Wellington perfect for an ODI between England and Ireland for the hadlee series
Ireland won the toss and elected to field first
England started of well with an average of 10 or so but soon lost lumb as their first wicket Robson was playing well as the opener and England built a small partnership with ballance and Robson which was soon broken by iris bowlers then came in KP and everything just changed KP hit the ball all around the park and accelerated the RR England kept losing wickets at regular intervals but KP held his ground and was finally out for 95 just 5 short of a century
Ireland must have felt that game was going to get over soon with bopara and woakes on the field and England were 6 down at 220 odd runs
And then came another turnaround bopara and woakes took England to 265/6 in 30 overs and it was not finished yet bopara scored a half century whereas woakes scored a brilliant century adding 95 odd runs for the wicket and took the score past 300 woakes then kept his nerves with stokes and took the score to 350/7 in 39 overs and 400 was up on 43 overs
Never did England think they would go so far but it was not finished yet the score was 461/9 in 48 overs when something came in the mind of Jimmy anderson and he hit 49th over of dockrell for 29 runs and took the score to 490 and rest was done by tredwell who took the score past 500 in 50 overs with final score of 502/9

Ireland were down and out after a lengthy day in filed and started of poorly against English spinners and we're reduced to 13/6
They then showed a bit of resilience but kept losing wickets at regular intervals and we're finally bowled out for 70

England won by 432 runs

So England and Ireland went on with their second ODI in hadlee series
This time Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first and the story was not much different although this time Ireland decided to give England a bit of fight but Jimmy anderson had different plans and he debt ed Ireland by taking 5 Wickets haul as Ireland lost wickets at regular intervals
Though the lower wickets did show a bit of resilience but English medium fast and medium bowlers like bopara made sure that they don't go beyond 119

England in reply lost their 2 wickets quickly and were reduced to 20 for 2 but KP again showed why he is one of the best players in ODI and smashed Ireland all around
Ballance and KP added 50 runs in just 18 balls and England reached target in around 9 overs losing 5 Wickets

Result : England won by 5 wickets

Asia cup Bangladesh vs Afghanistan :
Bangladesh have batted first and started loosing wickets at regular intervals. At one stage they were 4/51 , Dawlatzai and Hasan bowled well in power play to restrict Bangladesh to 4/51. But Bangladesh came back well after power play overs and came back well with 40+ run partnership. The tailender wickets took by Zadran with the bowling figures of 3/17 and Bangladesh was restricted to 132 .
Afghanistan have started the chase with control and played carefully not to loose wickets lost a wicket at 46 after that Afghans played with more care and piled 50 runs partnership , But Bangladesh shakib gave 2 big blows in one over , Afghan has chased 132 by losing 3 wickets.and won the game with 7 wickets. Top scorer was Shahzad with 48 runs and got MOM for his performance with the bat.

Thanks @AL_Amin @rishabh96

Great game Puneet ( @lonewolf5646 ) but luck was in Kenya's side this time. But we are pretty sure that you will find out a way to kick our ass in the next game and we have to be ready to face you again. :thumbs:thumbs

@rishabh96 please update the result in the points table

I hope no errors

Rishabh as you are told, there is an error in the NRR calculation. If the batting team gets all out within the alloted overs then the NRR will be calculated for entire 50 overs and not for the number of overs they played.

Example: In Kenya's match against New Zealand, Kenya batted first and were all out for 160 in 21.4 overs and the New Zealand were all out for 140 in 20.5 overs

SO the NRR for Kenya should be

=(160/50) - (140/50)

= +0.40

But you have updated as +4.58. Can you please check your formula for NRR once again

England played New Zealand for their second ODI of hadlee series
England won the toss and chose to field first and the decision was a good one as new Zealand top order again fumbled against some quality fast bowling by anderson and stokes and we're reduced to around 15 odd score for 6
New Zealand then showed a bit of resilience but at the end were bundled out for 35 all out

Looked like a meagre total but it was not to be England lost 2 wickets in first 2 balls of innings and we're 3 down for a score of 2
At this stage target of 36 looked like 360 as England were clueless against nee Zealand bowling
They some how managed to win but not before losing 6 wickets and saved the embarrassment

Final result England won by 4 wickets
