ICC World T20 Bangladesh 2014

a bad thing or good thing i dont know but if sf2 between ind-sa is washed out tomorrow then there is a reserve day for that one

It would be beyond retarded to have reserve day for one semi and no reserve day for another semi. Having said that, its the ICC wouldn't put it past them.

Ok wait wait... You seem to be bringing in that "Big Three conspiracy" in again.... They are not that retarded to do something like this. There are no reserve days for any games except the final.

Not really I wasn't hinting at the Big three thing there ... merely pointing out that ICC is stupid enough to do anything stupid. Also ICC has had a poor past of handling rain related reserve days. Like for instance in 2001 or 2002, Ind vs SL champs trophy final was drawn after two consecutive days of the second innings being washed out (on the day of the final and on the reserve day), and oddly enough over two days more than 100 overs had been bowled and still there was no result.

They restarted the match at that time. But then, we also have criticism when games are resumed where people say it favors one team more than other (we had one such criticism today too here in this thread about resumes vs restarts). So you can't satisfy everyone.

I agree, but personally conditions favoring one team (how often has that happened, especially in overseas and sub-continent tours), is better than 100 overs being bowled in an One Day and still having a no result.

Yes you can't satisfy everyone, but restarting or resuming a game - is certainly better than ending a T20 game under the D/L for rain.

I dont have an argument for D/L. I have always disliked D/L. I wish they find a better alternative for it (or an alternative for using it).

The problem with D/L is not that it doesn't work for T20 per se its just not been updated fully to accomodate it.

They use the same resource table as for a longer match which we know doesn't follow the same pattern and thus puts more emphasis on wickets than it probably should. Rather than through out what has (on the whole) been a fair way of solving rain affected matches in the longer form, they should instead have a T20 specific resource table so it is fairer in the short format.

The good old Indian fielding.

Why is he bowling Raina? Don't save Ashwin for AB, just let him bowl.

We desperately need wickets, or we are looking at chasing 180+
