If you have to blame someone today, it was to be Yuvraj Singh. The way Kohli was batting, 160 was looking very easy. And 160 would have been a winning total for India here as their bowling proved. We didn't have the total to defend.

Well played Sri Lanka! Finally, they break the final hoodoo... And they deserved it more after that brilliant death bowling by Malinga and Kulasekara.

Yuvraj lost this game for India. I love the guy, but he ruined the Indian innings. Dhoni shouldn't have let Yuvraj bat above Raina, who was in form.

Nonetheless, it should take nothing away from Sri Lanka. They won fair and square. Their bowling at the death was incredible.

Lot of Yuvi hate going on. But in fairness, in the first 10 overs you were only at around 60 odd.

Plus India don't really have the bowlers to attack,for example the likes of Malinga etc

Still, lot of positives for India from this tournament. After all the off-field pressure, they played like Champions in this tournament. Even in this final, they didn't give up in many places and had they got 20 runs more, we would have won this. Very rarely do you hear things from other country players like "The team that beats India will win this World Cup". Yes, our spinners got good conditions but these conditions are now so familiar to world cricket players due to the IPL that no team had advantage due to conditions.

Ashwin's form was a big plus. Him and Mishra (barring the semis and final where he was horrible; pressure showed up on him) carried India through this tournament.
