ICC World T20 Bangladesh 2014

Lot of Yuvi hate going on. But in fairness, in the first 10 overs you were only at around 60 odd.
Plus India don't really have the bowlers to attack, for example the likes of Malinga etc
it was more his attitude than his failure, that's harboring hate

lack of death bowlers like malinga is why india should have blasted more runs, with wickets in hand they could have easily did, 60 of ten with wickets in hand is good, 160 odd and the situations would have been diff.

but glad for sanga and mahela, they really deserved it after their years of efforts.

Well we have the players who can convert 60/1 from 10 overs, to 160+ off 20 overs. And it has been pretty much our pattern to start slow-to-decent and then blaze in the end. Most teams these days in T20 does it

Congrats sanga and mahela* *-i still amaze how a mahila(woman) can play in a men's team

Please learn to use appropriate smilies if you try to crack sensitive jokes like this.:rolleyes

Mishra (barring the semis and final where he was horrible; pressure showed up on him) carried India through this tournament.
ya pressure seems to get to mishra and he starts firing in the balls, that's one area he has to work hard and get mentally strong, because if he can keep his head cool he is one amazing bowler.

I dont agree with you saisrini,it is world known fact that indians always play like champs on home soil.So nothing positive unless you prove it in an alien condition.

It was the perfect under-dog script for Sri Lanka. Three World Cup final loses, oponent an undefeated Giant, last t20 match of the lengends, and pulling a great victory. Best finish to this World Cup.

they were by no means underdogs if anything it was clash of two giants of this tournament leaders of their respective group, each with their specialist bowlers, if anything SL had malinga as adv while india had kohli.

First loss for MS in final in international matches.

One man team. Virat Kohli is just in a class of his own in world cricket, but more importantly (and much more crucially), in his own team.

Sri Lanka should at least share 50% of their match fee plus prize money with Yuvraj Singh.
Couldn't have done it without his eternal support :noway:mad:rolleyes
Felt really really bad for Virat in this tournament. He was so charged up and desperately wanted to him.

Doesnt Yuvraj's face now look like he is about to cry . :lol

India should leave this behind and concentrate on English tour and build a strong team because t20 will not gain you respect. Its a fast paced game mixed with luck and its not a major one.If that would have been the case then windies would have been considered as world's best team.So think about that 5 test matches.I still love the test matches as it is the real battleground. No Gaylestorm,No hit&miss.Just work hard and earn it.All the greatest of batsmen were a good test player and it applies to indian players too.Laxman,Sachin,Gavaskar,Dravid,Ganguly etc. all were masters of test arena.

Gutted by India's performance, but clearly the better team won today. Would have been great to hold 3 ICC titles simultaneously. Hats off to SL who were simply better than India in every aspect.

On a positive note, I won't go bankrupt because of this result :D

Anyone else feel India was not disappointed enough after the defeat. By the presentation time Dhoni was grinning, even Kohli who is normally outspoken seemed satisfied, and smiling and going around shaking hands with everyone.

What!!!! The fish is everywhere, here and there on facebook, everyone is blaming just a single person named Yuvraj Singh. If you're seriously blaming only one person then you're smooth hearted that you can't accept a loss and you can't think technically about all the culprits in loosing the trophy. What Dhawan, Rahane, Bhuvi, Mohit, Shami, Jadeja have done in tournament? Well, Rohit failed to stand a good opening and didn't even help to score quick runs in power-play and also Dhoni failed to give a better finish tonight. Plus Mishra should be blamed for the 3 sixes he conceded. So will you blame everyone of them? Stop reacting like a kid y'all. Cricket is a spiritual game where as a player and also as a fan you must know two different sides of result. Yuvraj is blamed for those 21 balls just because we loosed, if it was our trophy then everybody must have talked about Kohli and Aswhin and there was no chance for Yuvi to be blamed. I'm too disappoint for Yuvi but not blaming or abusing again and again.I'm, still happy for some great memories from this tournament and also for Kohli and Ashwin who have topped in their job.:cheers

Apart that it is proved about the wonderfulness of the game with the end of yet another awesome tournament. This was the 5th world cup in 7 years and we have a new champion yet again. Unlike the ODI world cups where West Indies captured first twos, Australia crowned champions for four times including a hat-trick(1999-2007) how amazing it is to have different champions every time. Started with India (2007) then Pakistan (2009) then England (2010) then West Indies (2012) and now Srilanka. Congratulations Lankans. Two legends of the game have a great send off form TT format.

Slight comment on the women's final. This E Perry girl is a real talented, an bowling action & batting technique that wouldn't look out off place in the men's game.

When you consider also, that she plays professional football at the highest level - if a male player could do that in modern times, the world would probably be giving more attention.
