India A's Tour of West Indies

The rain might have the final say here. Dark clouds allround Bridgetown. IND 163/8

India need 23 to win

Oh god, hope this one is not a draw. Brilliant batting from the captain, Pujara! Amazing start to his tour when he has been appointed captain too. 50 and now 84*. He needs the chance now in the Indian test side more than anyone else.

Pujara turns Johnson to fine leg to ease the pressure. IND 170/8 - Pujara 88* Ahmed 17*

----------

16 to win and 12 to celebrate for a Pujara special inning :D

----------

From Cricinfo

Holder followed it up with a bouncer that hit Pujara on the right hand. Even as the physio made his way off the ground

Although he has carried on to bat this innings I hope this does not make him sit out of the next match

Poor from Cricinfo not to cover matches like this. Potential test players for both India and West Indies are playing, and its being called an 'unofficial test' too.

India A need 5 to win. WHATTA INNINGS by PUJARA!!!!!!:cheers Awesome stuff.... Am a big fan of the boy, and was worried if the recent injury might hamper his international chances big time. Hope this tour resurrects him back, and into the national side. He should not waste time in the IPL and T20's, and should play tests (and ODI's if possible) for India for long.

Edit: One shot away from an excellent victory. C'mon Pujara, DO IT!!! Him doing it would be the icing on the cake.

Pujara has been amazing here at Kensington Oval. Batted out of his skin for India. Now 90* - 216 balls, 5 hours, 9x4. IND 182/8

Almost there, one shot away from a great win..... Hope Ahmed turns the strike back to Pujara.

----------

Pujara does it, YAAAAAYYYYY!!!! 96* and carries India A home! Salute to hiM!:cheers:clap:cheers

Pujara should walk into final 11 now in place Dravid especially after the innings that he played in this match. Very well played captain.

BTW, thanks Rahul and Sai for the updates of the match :thumbs

This will now act as a wake up call for the likes of Rahane, Tiwary and even Rohit Sharma. Pujara has already scored two consecutive half centuries, and the last one was a stunning one where he played a match winning knock to take India home. If the likes of Rahane don't act fast, they will lose that test spot to Pujara. Manoj Tiwary also needs to buckle up. He has been this amazing talent for too long now. He needs to translate that into big performances in crucial situations soon.

Guillen brilliantly caught one-handed by Tiwary at short mid-on. Wicket for Ahmed. Guillen made just 7. WI 13-1

Drinks on first morning. WI 20-1 off 14 overs. Brathwaite 7* Pagon 5* Dinda and Shami Ahmed have been impressive on this pitch

----------

Spin on from both ends. Leggie Rahul Sharma to replace Dinda from the South or Bequia island End. WI 22-1

?#WIvIND: Drinks break in the afternoon session. WI 95-3 off 44 overs at the halfway stage on the opening day. Carter 15* Brathwaite 26*

?#WIvIND: Great side plot here. Dinda goes around the wicket, back over, then around again. Brathwaite blocks every ball! WI 130-5

Holder proving to be the perfect batting partner for Brathwaite. He has come in and offered good support. WI 145-6. Holder 15*

----------

Shot of the Day takes Brathwaite to 50. Came down the track and drove Rahul between extra cover and mid-off for 4. WI 162-6

----------

Shami Ahmed's magic plan works. Holder caught behind by Saha from a superb leg-cutter. Holder made 20. WI 164-7.Barthwaite 54*
