India in England Jun-Sept 2014

not really he is just a decent swing bowler, our batsman just make him look too good[/QUOTE
Anderson is one of England's leading ever wicket takers. He has taken 16 5wicket hauls (2 of them in this series.) Decent is an understatement.

I`d be happy if we can get to 175 from here. Might seem like a recovery after that horrific start. The wicket is a good one for batting. It was just some early movement which we did not tackle well. Our bowling won`t come close to achieving it. These guys have to somehow drag this innings into the last session which might still not be enough. Its a horrible start, one that has almost sealed our fate in this game. We might lose this in 3 days.

On hindsight this might have been the best time to have bowled Bhuvi with the cloud, anyway nonbody could have predicted that horror started, disappointed with rahanae throwing it away needlessly.

Another hyper positive post. Reading some of these posts in this thread is making me think India are indeed the worst test playing nation out there :p

If Indian fans keep this up for two and a half years (the next England in India series is scheduled to be November 2016) then it'd just be pathetic to be honest...

That Ajinkya Rahane wicket just put all the hard work in the vain. Him and Dhoni batted with some discipline before Rahane poking at one outside the off stump. Kohli's weakness outside the off stump is a surprising one. When Kohli came into the test side, he didn't have that dream start because of that weakness. However, since that Sachin farewell series against West Indies, he was leaving the ball well outside the off stump. he did that in South Africa and continued in New Zealand but for some reason, he is not leaving the ball here. it looks like he has no idea where his off stump is and that is why he is trying to play at every delivery that is coming on round about 4th stump line. Same old dismissal for Gambhir, Pujara struggling and Murli Vijay got a ripper. Let's see how far we can get.

Haha, 'keep this up' is an interesting phrase ... it will not be forgotten for sure. Also the only thing pathetic about the whole thing is Anderson calling a player 'A Fu**ing C**t' and being allowed to get away with it.

The point is just be in the game in the 1st innings. After the iniial onslaught just 1 has gone down, the key is try not to lose wickets int he next session. Much easier said than done.

If Rahane and Dhoni had gone into lunch at the crease, I would have been friggin' delighted.

why are our batsman on the balcony, they should have gone straight to the nets and started practicing, how to leave outswingers.

Then u missed a whole lot.Have u seen his behaviour with umpires in middle of test matches pointing fingers at umpires and so on.The mask he wears gets peeled off when somebody abuses him.Be it swann when eng tour india during odi series or this time.Jajdeja and p.k abused english players right till the dressing room in that odi ,he gets affected when his minions are said something.

No prizes for guessing - You must be one those anti-Dhoni fan

It pains me to say this but I think we are just about a little better placed than BD. Everyone else is above India at the moment.

The only positive I can think of is the stat about England losing all 3 matches after having the opposition down to 4 wickets for less than 25 runs in the first innings. However, that is optimism at its height.

Aswin, always scores in Oversea games! What a knock he's playing. Already has more runs than Jadeja I think, or must be nearing him.

Just when India were looking good Ashwin gets himself out. England's target should be under 200. Little disappointing after India were 8-4
