India in the West Indies

22 overs for 50 more runs that shouldn't be too hard. But would the Windies put that much faith into their bowlers? This is the same pitch the Windies made over 500 on and with Sehwag 350 can be made to look very small. It maybe a 5th day wicket but the Windies don't have the spinners to cause a problem.

Right, and even if the Windies bat India out of the game I would not want to bowl at Rahul Dravid.
He can bat for hours and hours.
Definatly would of enforced the follow on.

add to that, the bowler's injuries. Only Bravo looks threatening right now.

Lara gone as well.

If the Windies dangle the carrot for India, then I think they will have a go at it. I hope they do anyway.

They will have a go with Sehwag. If he gets out they might well shut up shop. Unless they send Dhoni up the order.

It's a shame Pathan isn't playing; he could have opened, as he has done in the past.

Chanderpaul out now, way things are going the Windies won't need to declare as they'll be bowled out.
Stumps day 4, Windies with a 332 run lead. It'll be interesting seeing what they do tommorow. I can see them aiming for 400 before declaring.

Aiming 400 will just ruin the game. For the sake of interest, i hope Lara declares ASAP. If India try to get quick runs, they might lose wickets.

Agreed but I don't think the Windies are confident in what they have now. They will be thinking about Sehwag and Dhoni who can make a 300+ total look very small.

Dhoni and Sehwag certainly can. Even Jaffer, Dravid, Laxman and Yuvi are all capable of increasing the tempo, if required. They want to make 400, but that'll mean more than half of the first session will be occupied.

90 overs remain tomorrow (and more if the umpires permit). If India can bowl Windies out within the first session tomorrow for not many, I think they can play ODI cricket batting and look to threaten the West Indies and bring down their morale which they have accquired by batting first and through Brian Jerling (read umpiring decisions).

India got to do the most of the work tomorrow. Windies have almost made sure they aint gonna win this one! India are in fact the most unlikely of the two, but the way Windies have gone with their decisions, India needs to shake them up and make them vulnerable for the next test which will be a one test shoot out to grab the series!!

I do think that Windies should push for 400 and declare ASAP. That can be done by 11:00 AM tomorrow. Another 68-70 runs in 1 hour is possible, but they need to take on the indian bowlers. it would have been even more real if Lara didnt get out...Interesting day's play ahead...

There's not much that anyone else would have done in Lara's situation. He just did not have the Bowling Ammunition to enforce the follow-on.

In my opinion both teams just don't have the bowling attack to get 20 wickets on a Normal Wicket.

Only way Windies can get 20 Wickets would be on a Flying Seamer of a Wicket, and Indian Bowlers would need a Seaming Wicket or a Chutney Pitch.

You don't rely on one bowler to pick up wickets, right? Pedro Collins has not been impressive, even though he has taken 2 wickets.

With Taylor, Collymore and Bravo, along with Gayle and Samuels, 24 overs would not be too many, before the end of play.

I'm not bashing at Lara's decision, his points are very valid, but you need to have that killer approach to the game.

Even now, the match is interestingly poised. Its upto both teams to make a game out of this.

I hope WI don't take too much time on the field, and I do hope India will try to play positively, and go for the win (if possible), instead of just blocking it out the entire day.
