Shoaib Akthar strikes!
Just when India were cruising along at over 6 runs per over, Akthar strikes removing Yuvraj and Kaif within the space of 3 balls. Yuvraj went for a wild lofted shot and was caught at mid on for 34. Kaif then tried to cover drive a ball from Akthar but it got the thick outside edge and Yasir Hameed behind the wicket made no mistake! India are 240/5 with Ganguly on 74* and Dhoni on 2*
Ganguly GONE - India 251/6
Just when Shahid Afridi was going to complete the most horrible over of the match, Ganguly gives him a lifeline. Ganguly goes for a lofted shot but the turn was too much there for him and the ball hit the handle of his bat to balloon up and Yasir Hameed came from behind to take the catch. Ganguly goes for a well made 72 though he promised a century ere except for that shot! Harbhajan Singh accompanies Dhoni in the middle!

AWFUL BATTING BY THE TAIL ENDERS!!! Shabbir Ahmed in a clinical spell of fast bowling destroyed the last three Indian batsmen in a single over to help Pakistan restrict India to 262 all out. Thats a not so good score for India after being 240/5 by the 40th over. If the tail had batted well, India could have set a target of close to 300. Now, they have lost the advantage of putting pressure of Pakistan by setting a huge target!
Pakistan whose bowling cannot be described as the best in this match, came back superbly to pick the last 5 wickets when India threatened to take charge! Shabbir Ahmed has finished with 4 wickets and Shoaib Akthar has picked up 3 wickets. Pakistan now need 263 runs to win this series. They need to score at 5.26 runs per over. Pakistan's discpline today in the bowling was horrible as they conceded 59 extras. If they had conceded less, then India's score would not have crossed 250!

yeah, actually the cpu was giving away too many easy runs in the previous games. and for this match on a Dusty pitch to be fair, I included shoaib malik into the bowling attack instead of Razzaq but it instead bowled Razzaq and did not bowl Sami.

The openers have started off well as usual.
Pakistan 39/0 off 7 overs
Pakistan have started in a sedate manner scoring 39 runs off 7 overs. Butt and Hameed played very cautiously for the first two overs, scoring just 7 runs off 2 overs but then opened up to play some glorious shots.
India still are favorites to win as this pitch is breaking up and India has two world class spinners Kumble and Harbhajan in their line up with Yuvraj, Tendulkar and Sehwag to give support. So, a tough battle on Pakistan's hand!

Pakistan are 71/2 after 13 overs with Zaheer Khan picking up two wickets! The last 4 overs were smashed by the Pakistani openers to all parts but Khan kept his nerves and prised out two beautiful wickets! First to go was Hameed who was set up by Khan and then saw his off stump cartwheeling on the ground!
In the 13th over, Salman Butt scored 2 runs off the first balls, a dot ball in the second. He smashed a straight lofted shot for a four in the third ball. And after that, he had a long stare at Zaheer Khan and his eyes said many things. Khan who was really charged up by then, changed his line to round the wicket and steamed in. Butt misses, gets trapped on his pads, loud shout by all the fielders including Khan and Dhoni and Taufel gives Butt LBW!!!!! Khan ecstatically ran in joy towards Butt who had stared him the previous ball!

Pakistan are now on dire straits, losing another two quick wickets. They are now 83/4 after 15 overs. The Indian spin trio of Kumble-Bhajji picked two quick wickets to put Pakistan totally on the wrong foot. Malik tried to flick a ball down the leg side off Kumble and missed it to see his stumps rattled. Inzamam then charged down the wicket to a Harbhajan turner and missed it to see his stumps shaken! Now, all rests on Youhana and Younis Khan's shoulders!
