India Team Discussion

He is only there for 10 months. I welcome his appointment but I don't know how much work he can accomplish in 10 months. Also Gangully might be the pretty image that the government is trying to portray behind which it is all about family members of politicians who have nothing to do with cricket are being hired in important BCCI positions.

Wow this is so much bullshit! Well cricket as a whole has been doomed.

first incompetent Icc and the stupid thinking and then the sheer politics in BCCI is pathetic. This proves that Amit Shah just elected Ganguly for Bengal win.

Pretty shameful.

Exactly! Easy passage for Shah's son to be future BCCI president. Ganguly's election is just a joke.

Pretty much what I wanted to say. Wonder what Sourav stands to gain from this in the future...

Well, Kohli's wife has been dragged into another idiotic episode. I feel so bad for her and Virat. I'm not a Kohli fan and I really really feel for him. Just a human thing. Anushka is just a gem. Her contribution to society and just how she conducts herself even though she's a celebrity is just so so admirable. Sometimes I just feel like saying sorry to her on behalf of some morons in this country although she already knows we live in the most beautiful country in the world. Just that some people are always desperate to bring us down. Her husband's coach is one of them.

You talked about Bilateral series now what happened in recent world cup,2014 t20 world cup and champions trophy?
I am talking about current condition Why India has been dissapointing in knockout stages?

The data included the World Cup matches as well. You asked about the 2014 WT20 but tbh India never had a great team for T20Is and to play well against the likes of Malinga at the death would always be going to be difficult. In Champions Trophy we had a vastly inexperienced bowling and we didn't had that confidence in our bowling either. The scoreboard pressure was just immense and hence we faltered. Coming on to 2019 World Cup it's a lot to do with the scheduling of home/away matches and the pitches we play on. India never had seaming wickets and hence we aren't used to playing on it. In the past we did not used to play so many matches at home and on flat pitches so that is why we used to do better whenever the situation demanded. The other thing is there is a lot of rotation of players and hence we don't have a settled middle order and the players batting at that position aren't sure of their role so whenever they face an unlikely situation they are bound to falter. The team is well capable of performing well but it comes down to the mismanagement of resources in both departments and that is why we aren't able to win matches. If we are able to solve this we would win a tournament for sure.

There are few factors to blame for our defeat in the World Cup 2019. First thing we didn't have a proper no.4 batsman so our middle order was unsettled, second was a lot to do with the field placing and Captaincy and the selection of playing XI, third thing was Dhoni being such a big player can't figure out the position he wanted to bat and even if he had can't he speak to the management ? And the last thing was if Dhoni couldn't find a spot then the team should give him a spot that would help him perform in a better way or drop him straight away which they couldn't do.

1.In Champions Trophy Bumrah no ball to Fakhar Zaman costed the match.Bowling was good in tournament we took haunted decision to bowl first. One Of Kohli most bad decision.Who is such mad to bowl in Final vs Pak?Had kohli forgot Semi-finals vs Pak in 2011.We won 2011 wc semi-final due to bat first

2.2019 WC semi-final except jadeja no one took responsibility and that Pant!!!!!!Came and out for a six what a behaviour in a critical sensitive moment

3.2014 T20 WC we lost match due to toss Also except Kohli no one batted well Yuvraj just ate 21 balls made 11 balls and rahane could not start
and Rohit was at 100 strike rate.

Management should force dhoni at No 4 so he will take time and bat.Our No 4 bat position will be solved by this. Why they dont?

Conclusion:After 2013 our team cant make in knockouts in Big tournaments vs Big teams if we lose toss

Only in the first game and the game against South Africa we bowled well. Against Bangladesh we conceded probably 20 extra thanks to our batsman for winning us the match comprehensively. You also need to remember Sri Lanka beat us comprehensively chasing 329.

See Pant did not bat in a position like that ever in his career and that was a big match, a World Cup Semifinal and expect him to perform well is living in a fools paradise. You also need to check Rohit Sharma's dismissal, nothing really he could've done there. Had he left the ball he would've been bowled. Virat Kohli's dismissal was perfect setup and execution from Boult and Williamson. KL Rahul played a rather poor shot but we all know he wasn't fully confident about his game right since the England tour, so again there wasn't a problem there.

Then who is responsible for 2019 WC defeat and Champions trophy pathetic loss despite winning toss?

Atleast like jadeja he should be patient in senstive situation. If he dismissed while playing normal shot I would not dissapointed came and hit a six and out such immediately though RR was high !!!Wow!!!!!!!!!Even a child will not hit six at that time in such critical time

Pant is still on his learning curve, you cannot just bash a cricketer like that who is still learning. The field pressure can get the better of the best of cricketers, Pant is just a young man.

What about other cricketers? I see from 2013 we regularly get knocked out in big matches tournaments

Champions trophy pathetic loss despite winning toss?
Unfortunately it was none other than our skipper who brought in some controversies with himself right ahead of the Final. But Kohli's Captaincy have still come a long way.
