Ganguly's proposed role, said sources, would require him to work across the board. He is being offered the role of High Performance Manager of Team India, along the lines of Cricket Australia. He is understood to have been told to prepare a blueprint on how the Indian team can perform better abroad.
The board wants Tendulkar to help upgrade the National Cricket Academy from a rehab center to a world-class training and research facility. He is also expected to work with out-of-form cricketers, the ones with problems in their technique and help them stage comebacks.
Top sources in the Indian cricket board have also confirmed that they want Dravid as the Talent Development Manager, based in Bangalore. His role would be to work closely with the Under-19 team and identify talent for the national team, while also working with the NCA.
