India Team Discussion

So a lot of stuff happened in the last 2 days in which I will start with one of my favourite.

Dravid to coach India A, U-19 teams - BCCI | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

Apparently Rahul Dravid was approached for the head coach position for team India but he denied it for now because of his young family. Anyways, it's still good to see him involved and that too with younger players.

The advisory committee created by BCCI also met yesterday with Jagmohan Dalmiya and have decided to create pool of 30 bowlers. They will also have a say in terms of selection of head coach and all three of them are available to mentor team India if required. However, it is being reported that Ravi Shastri is likely to continue that role.

Create pool of 30 bowlers, says advisory panel | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

Dravid as U19 is a very good idea, he doesn't have a huge ego and will do what's best for the younger guys coming through, a real father figure type.

What the !@#$

In indian premiere league fixing is still going on and no one saw it

RCB vs Sunrisers

Easiest catches were dropped by 2 new players and both were of the batsmen who were on fire!!(first ball of sixth over)
then harshal patel miss the run out of henriques and people thought it was a mistake but clearly he threw a under arm ball which was thrown not at all in the line of wickets

A.B played a shot straight shot on a slow good length ball...

Last ball of the game it was a straight shot on a good length ball...

every coach tells to play it on onside but kohli played a straight shot .. he knew that there was warner standing on long off...

WILL THERE BE ANY IPL WITHOUT FIXING???

a batsman played a stupid shot in a T20 game while needing to score quickly for the win: this is obviously solid proof of match fixing and not something that often happens in a cricket game

If a Batsmen getting out playing a stupid shot was proof of rigging, then Shane Watson would have been banned years ago ;)

BTW Bhajji now the 9th highest wicket taker ever in tests. Moved past W Akram in the previous test with his 3 wickets. With India set to play 10 tests in the subcontinent in the coming 6 months, it seems Bhajji could be moving up even further.

So to say they don't have any broadcasting partner, might be the reason. But the real thing is that they are afraid of getting defeated by another minnow team

Bangladesh is not such a bad side when it comes to limited overs cricket, and being beaten by them at their home is not much a big deal. That doesn't prove India ain't no good.

to be honest team India is like lion at home soil but when it comes to oversea tour we are no where[DOUBLEPOST=1434984354][/DOUBLEPOST]perhaps India A was a better side than this one

No one said this when we reached Semi finals in WC with the same team.

it was BCCI who managed team India by arranging sub continental pitches
