Sehwag 'hurt' by his ouster from India team | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

Pretty weird to come up with this statement. He wasn't performing so he got dropped. If he wanted to come back, he needed to score runs which he did but not enough to stand out. There were players in domestic cricket who were scoring more runs than him and they were younger than him. At his age if he wanted to come back, he needed to score an absolute bulk.

What a shame.Yuvraj singh dosen't deserve to be in t20 squad. We have a lot of players in line for that spot.I would pick Mohammad Shami on Nehra.Nehra is good in ipl but we should not take chance with him in t20 wc.

Watch the SF of the 2011 WC against Pakistan and the 2003 WC game against England. Ashish has never had the charisma we fans in India endear for while watching, but at his age the dedication and hard work he has put in deserves to see him in that side. Don't be a hater.

Come again?

People in India have no gratitude for their cricketers. I remember back in 2007 after the 50 over World Cup, every Indian fan was shattered. MS Dhoni elevated us to a cricketing super power once again. But, we in India become envious too often. Presently, MS Dhoni is responsible for our test losses abroad, floods in Chennai, traffic in Mumbai and corruption at every level. He should redeem himself by making the fastest century and then breaking his own record by one ball after every game.

Feeling sad for Uthappa and Vinay. Uthappa performs every time and every time he will be neglected by the selectors.

They have both been given quite a lot of chances. They never converted their chances and they are not Rohit Sharma to get a ridiculously long run just because he is Rohit Sharma. Plus Robin is very poor behind the stumps - very sloppy. While Vinay just isn't international standards

But, he is at his peak now. You simply can't ignore a person who is being consistently performing in Ranji and IPL. What happened with Uthappa is, he was given chance only for 3 matches or so. He never got time to adjust. If he had got chances like Rohit Sharma, I am sure he would have utilized it well. And I know Vinay is not international standard, but Uthappa atleast. He is so good in T20s. He might also be a good replacement for that Raina position in ODI. Even though Uthappa normally opens the innings or bats up the order, he should be given a shot for that Raina's position. And in tests, he is a great opening batsman too. I am sure selectors will ignore him. What a shame!

He has been given quite a few chances actually - 40+ ODI games. The zimbabwe series was the perfect platform for him to perform and he fluffed up like he always has.

In 2008 - He played 10 games in a row Ind-Aus-SL tri series + 6 against Aus in India + 5 against pakistan in India. Had one single 50+ score of 51 to show for it over 21 games. Thats a lot of chances :spy

Wow. Irfan Pathan is in some form. Out of 4 matches, he has scored 81 runs with good strike rate and picked up 12 wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament.

Uthappa scored 80 from 52 and Karnataka still lost. Karnataka is having a disastrous year.
