And Neesham fails again with the bat... Wonder when is he going to learn to be more consistent for his role in the team. With all the talent and skill that he posses, 5 ball 10s with an occasional substantial innings won't help the team's cause.
I guess Indian bowlers are a bid behind the over rate. Constant wiping of the ball might be one of the reasons because otherwise almost half the overs so far have been bowled by spinners.
Disappointed that I couldn't watch the 2nd half of the first innings of the match. Thanks to the rain at Mount Manganui and network failure from my internet service provider!!
I felt I would never have to say this but it actually happened! I saw one of the worst innings today from Kane Williamson and it should be one of the all-time poor knocks in T20Is!! He showed no intent whatsoever.
I wouldn't want to rate the bowling much since most of the batters of NZ got out to that scoreboard pressure.
Btw that drama in the last over between Hooda & Pant was funny. Also it looked like Harsha Bhogle was sleeping through the innings that he did not even realise that the last wicket had already fallen.
Now days, India in ICC tournament, never Looks like they going to win a game... but in Bilateral Series, they never looks like they are going to lose...
Kane Williamson is holding New Zealand back (specifically in T20I). It's just a fact at this point. Sad, but true. Not just basing this on one game obviously considering the overall game. But that innings is still too slow probably for the match situation when he faced that many. New Zealand will have to decide if they could get away with another captain in T20I. If the answer is no it will have to stay defaulted to Williamson.
