New zealand's Tour Of India (Nov 17-Dec 07, 2021)

Not really pleased with Somerville. He has looked ordinary throughout this tour. Ajaz with the performance in his match has lived up to the expectations. I think Rachin Ravindra hasn't really got what he deserves. He really deserves more wickets.

I think New Zealand does have a good quality when it comes to their spin bowling department. But it comes down to how they are going to be utilised in the years to come. If handled well they are one of the teams to beat in World Cricket irrespective of the conditions.

Finally the streak is over! :P

12-1.... The streak is over.. (Getting the Undertaker vibe here) :lol .... Also this series is actually an all Indian show.... All Indians are playing superbly!

Okay! I am going to make a controversial statement here, Ravi Ashwin is an undisputed modern day great as far as the spinners around the world are concerned.

And to get a jersey from the modern day great is a special gesture. Ajaz Patel with just 4-5 years of career left have achieved something special which he might cherish till the day he plays this game or maybe for the rest of his life. Very kind of Ashwin to do that!

Btw there was another kind gesture from Virat Kohli to wait for Ajaz Patel to achieve the best bowling figures in India by an Overseas bowler! He could've declared the moment 500 lead was achieved but he did not. Great sportsmanship! :clap

Roscoe has been stealing a living as a test cricketer for quite some time.

Funny how the tables have turned. A year or two ago (can't remember really) around the time when NZ had their usual Aussie spanking Sommerville was supposed to be the much superior spin option in comparison to Ajaz. Full credit to how well he has made use of his county opportunities to improve.

NZ really need to play him going forward instead of opting for that four man pace attack with the toothless Santner as the no-rounder. If they do want all four seamers, best to go with Jamieson at seven. The lad can hold a bat alright.
