India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

India have to play positively tomorrow like how they did in SCG. No point just trying to block things around. Good thing is, we dont have too many batsmen who are capable of just blocking it (except for Pujara, and maybe to a certain extent, Rahane)

I am confident our batters will play positively tomorrow in whatever amount of overs we get to see. Whether that translates into a win or a draw or a defeat, we will see. This is one last crack in what has been an absolutely riveting series where India have covered themselves in glory and made the world sit up and talk gushingly about their domestic system, the IPL's impact on the confidence of youngsters, and their feeder line (and Rahul Dravid). I think India will do well tomorrow no matter the result.

Very well done to both Siraj and Shardul for their bowling effort. Can Shardul upstage Umesh Yadav in the pecking order for test cricket? Hope he gets his chances to do so. Both are similar in terms of bowling where they are almost as wayward and yet they can attack hard and pick crucial wickets at imp times. Shardul is way better as a batsman in the lower order and if he gets his chances and makes it count, he is the better choice.

Thakur overseas. Umesh in the sub continent.

Really do feel we are three hours away from the start of a historic day. The last time I was struggling to sleep before a test in Oz was back in 2002.

The Aussie quicks.. specially Cummins and Hazlewood must be feeling weary after a tortuous workload last two matches. But a Border/Gavaskar trophy is at stake so these guys will grow another leg for the final hurdle. Starc and Lyon need a big step up.
Should be a cracker of a final day of a cracker series.

India should play for a win. Rohit, Gill, Pant, and Agarwal can play with a high strike rate.

My opinion on the tour won't change no matter the result but the sheer resilience of this Indian team means them winning the series is the only just result. The injuries have been spoken about at length but let's not forget the fact that India have lost three tosses after being skittled for 36 and that has meant that they have always batted when it's tougher and with scoreboard pressure.

Any hopeless cricket tragic will remember this tour till the day they go to their grave but for this to become the stuff of folklore legend a win will seal it. It is the only fitting end this team and tour deserves.

It is also a humongous wrap on the wrists of the people that have shamelessly and haplessly backed Virat Kohli as the captain for half a decade now.

It is cricket such as we have seen in this entire series that can only be good for the survival of the Test format. White ball cricket just does not get the senses and competitive juices flowing or the nerve ends jangling like an enthralling Test cricket contest does.

Cummins with the breakthru.

No team has chased down a target of more than 250 at the Gabba, a record that will be even harder to break on a pitch that is starting to play tricks as the cracks widen.

wrong cricinfo. We have had half the first session and this deck is playing true. No sign of cracks playing a part at this stage. This will certainly lift Indian morale. They will now believe they can draw or maybe even win this.

Australia on the attack now with pitch starting to misbehave as well. Looks more like an Australian win or a draw - India in the next 2 session will have to do something really extraordinary to win this.

Having said that I will be mighty pleased with the draw.

Gill looks like he is going to throw it away. Playing shots on very much every short ball.

Its a draw

No intent or whatsoever from india to win this game. They are playing safe. Just for a draw
