I didn't see any mention of Rajnikanth anywhere. Yes, the ad is a spoof of Tamil movies in general (and Rajni style in particular) but no, the person in the ad is not Rajnikanth (for those who don't know about Tamil movies)

Yeah, thats not rajnikanth (if anyone thought it was!). He is 60+ yrs old now.

Chennai Superstars must be fav to win this cup after yesterdays performance. They have advantage of having Aussie mind and players in the team.
And who the hell thinks Heroes will win, there count seems to be going up day by day.

Not Rajnikanth, he looks a bit reminiscent of Prabhu Deva.

Looks a bit like Vengopal Rao, when he had his moustache and what not.

Everybody's fav Heros go down to Lions.
Man Imran Farhat hitting huge 6's. We will definately win as Cairns is yet to fire.

heroes need to work on their fielding big time.

today the quality of the icl got shown
someone like farhat managed to hit big 6's and heck he even managed to pull a 6,
this is the same farhat who used to pull balls for catching practise

and its shocking how much razzaqs speed has declined,

past 3 matches i have sene him he's bwling at 110kph

New news about player speculation
Speculation is rife at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium that India discard Mohammad Kaif is on the verge of signing up with the 'rebel' Indian Cricket League. When asked to confirm the news, a senior Essel Group official reacted by saying: "Can't say anything about it officially yet. Will let you know in due course."

The middle order batsman has been out of the Indian squad since November 2006. The UP Ranji captain, who has played 125 ODI games, last played for India at Port Elizabeth against South Africa. Once considered a vital component of the 'Chappellway', he was dropped from the national side following a string of failures in the run up to the 2007 ICC World Cup.

And once dropped about a year ago, he rarely came up on the radar of national selectors. If the news is correct then he will become the most capped India player to join the league.

It is pertinent to note that the popular middle order batsman was dropped from BCCI's list of contracted players when it was renewed earlier this year.

Kaif himself refused to comment on the issue.
