Indian Domestic Cricket

It's been a good day for me as an Indian cricket fan. Ravindra Jadeja also gave Lalit Modi a big flip you, showing that he doesnt need the IPL :p.

He took 4/20 from his 8.2 overs and took Saurashtra home with Cheteshwar Pujara with a valuable 16*(22).

This Shreevats Goswami is good. Finally getting a chance this season and 2 hundreds in the ODI competition already. Good stuff.

Great match between TN and Karnataka, pity we ended up on the losing side. Good to see Pandey and Mukund in the runs. In all honesty, Uthappa has done fairly well in limited over tourneys, it's the longer version that he's been horrid in.

Nooooo! Yusuf Pathan with a 42 ball 108! This can't be good with the ODI squad selections coming up :(.

Cheteshwar Pujara with a calm and composed century to take his List A average to 50. He also averages 57 in FC cricket after this season.

Yes! Uday Kaul gets a century. Has a lot of talent, imo. Has stats to back him up too. Average of 49 in FC and 54 in List A cricket.

Yusuf Pathan included in the ODI squad. Damn. Ashwin too...I just don't see why either of them warrants a place at this stage. Ashwin is such a containment bowler, that's really all he's good at.

At least Nayar got picked...however, you'd think he won't get a game.

TN were able to defend their title in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after beating Bengal by 29 runs. One again TN's dream batting lineup were able to shine, and have shine with Vijay being the star with the bat for TN, hitting an unbeaten century while Karthik (blasted 88 off just 47 balls) and Mukund both played good innings, while their mediocre bowling attack were able to do a good job.

4-8 with the ball at an econ of just 1.71 too. Lower order wickets though.

What a thrashing. Central Zone suck.

Vijay keeps impressing. Hope he plays the IPL and does well. He has a great chance to cement a permanent spot in the national side what with the selectors being more favorable towards South players these days (sometime back, if you're from South, most likely you dont play for India).

Vijay needs to go back to domestic cricket or look for a stint in England. He isn't going to survive long in international cricket if he's that weak on the back foot.

He is way too early for a stint in England. He first needs a century or two in international cricket.

Thought of asking this question on this Thread.

Is this guy Atul Sharma for real? I have seen a video of him on Maverick Cricket's Website. They claim he's the fastest bowler in the World.

There are rumours that all this Atul Sharma business is a fraud.

Wondering what you guys think or have heard?

Ian Pont released a statement that Atul Sharma was infact a con artist and left Pont's academy without paying his fees. He has essentially escaped. The name Atul Sharma iirc was made up as well.
