Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Such a quality match this was. The way DC bowled at the start, the KKR comeback, the Shaw and Iyer masterclass.. Kuldeep’s last two overs.. brilliant super over from Prasidh, first ball 4 from Russ and then perfect finish from Rabada. Awesome match

Sometimes late decisions do pay off. With just seconds left before the game locked I changed my fantasy team vice captain from Nitish Rana to Andre Russell.

And what a game it was. Pleased for Delhi because they were in control in the KKR innings and then again in the second, cruising towards victory until Prithvi holed out.

Then the first super over, no less exciting with Delhi finally winning through.

Entertainment doesn't get much better than that!

At the start of this IPL I had a question that currently who is the best Bumrah or Rabada. At the moment Rabada is winning this contest !!!! Absolutely fine exhibition of bowling from KG !!! Just love the way he goes on about his bowling, it looks like he never feels any pressure while bowling. :cheers

Kohli wins the toss and chooses to chase. No Kane Williamson this game. I'm taking a captaincy punt, bringing in Warner for Gayle.

RCB include the fantastically named Prayas Ray Barman - will the drinks be on him later?

I dont understand why is Colin De Grandhomme still in lineup when we could strengthen our death bowling by bringing in Tim Southee.

Prayas Ray Barman makes his debut, a special day for him.

Umesh yadav has got rid of Warner plenty of times in the past be it in the IPL or Test matches , ODIs etc. So to start of with Moeen Ali was just another RCB or Kohli's blunder which sums up their poor performances season by season.

Kohli setting the field with two outfielders on leg side and bowler trying to bowl outside off clearly indicates that there is no co-ordination between the captain and bowler.

I am not even surprised we are getting hammered. What do you expect when our two frontline fast bowlers are Umesh and Siraj.

Seriously rooting for Delhi in this season.

This is terrific, absolutely terrific stuff this from SRH !!!!! Take a bow David Warner you are an absolute genius. Credits to Bairstow for such a good start he gave to the team

Hetmyer opening the batting here. Kohli never fails to amaze people with his terrific Captaincy :lol

This is hilarious!

3rd opening pair in as many games! Hope we get pasted by 200 runs.

Any idea why Saini was dropped? :lol

I've noticed one thing in the IPL. Though this seems crazy please do understand the logic behind this.

The players who had represented other teams where really fantastic but perfomedpworse when they joined RCB. Namely:
Stuart Binny - RR
Watson - RR
Colin De Grandhomme - KKR
Mohmmad Siraj - SRH (was one of the best finds for SRH in his debut IPL).
Badrinath - CSK
QDK - Delhi

Etc..

The players who have left RCB to join other teams have perfomed well.

Watson - CSK
Sarfaraz - KXIP
Gayle - KXIP
Kedar Jadav - CSK
QDK - Mumbai
Mayank Agarwal - RPSG, KXIP

Any idea why Saini was dropped?
Great Captain Kohli and his visions. The player who should've been dropped was Grandhomme.

You can put almost every other player apart fron AB and Kohli who ever played for RCB ever since Kohli took over the captaincy from Vettori back in 2012.

The only man to be blamed is the captain Kohli who has been backed by broken management and support staff.
