With the way Bumrah got Russell out I think Steve Smith could be in trouble playing him in the Australian Summer.

Got 200 first innings back and it took the bowling of Joe Root to get his wicket. Archer didn't get him again and he got 400 runs in 4 innings.

Hope this performance shuts down any wish for NCN's extended stay in this Mumbai side. Patto's not a huge upgrade but NCN has been shockingly poor for the most part over the last year.

Maybe just his first match after the pandemic so it has affected his bowling. He have never done well on Australian surfaces but he is looked probably one of the best bowlers who bowled in the sub-continent amongst the Australians in the last 4-5 years.

He was handy in the past but current NCN is someone who does not even have a domestic state contract in Australian cricket. Partly because his last first-class match was in 2017 but also because he has declined significantly, a reason why he was also dropped from the central contract list by Australia despite being in their World Cup squad just a year ago.

DK might still go on to score lots of runs in the remaining games of this tournament, but I honestly feel he should've stuck with the captaincy for this tournament and then reevaluated his position at the end of it. Its a double edged sword where a change right in the mid of the tournament can cause confusion and can lead to worser returns and DK failed today with the bat and also it was a weird decision to send him up the order when he has clearly shown better abilities as a finisher.

Prasidh hasn't started well in this game but I still like the look of him. It was a bit surprising that KRR didn't start this season with him considering he was the standout bowler for them last season. He bowls at a good pace and is tall enough to generate extra bounce. I like the Indian fast bowling stock in this tournament based on what I have seen so far.

Chahar, Saini, Prasidh Krishna, Tyagi (really excited about him), Mavi, Deshpande, Nagarkoti have all done well in the chances they have got. It's a pity that Bhuvi got injured because he started really well this season.

Natrajan has bowled the highest number of yorkers this season which is great to see considering he is a left-arm and we need more of them. Khaleel has been disappointing but young Arshdeep has been decent.

Even though Ishan Porel has been labelled more as a red ball bowler, I would still like to see him given an opportunity.

I'm glad that the Buttler at five decision blew up in the face and hope it NEVER gets repeated again. Play Uthappa besides him if you want to but do not change his role ever again. The only boundaries he scored were versus the debutante and he looked lost versus Chahal. Without those powerplay boundaries he is nothing more than an accumulator who may not fire in the death.

Morris has been an absolute gun so far. Performances like this will make it an easy call for him to be selected in South Africa's T20 WC squad.
