Indian Premier League - General Discussion

How horrible has Sam Curran looked in these 2 chances that he's got!! I dont understand the thought of resting Chahar and DJ before we nail the top 2 spot! This heavy defeat is going to dent our NRR very badly!! I know its good to get a loss like this out of the way, but we face DC and PBKS and both won't be easy games as we try to get that crucial Top 2 spot, for a dual chance at the final!!

Disappointed! Though Ruturaj's innings was absolutely sensational!

And this was Mahi way to ruin MI's campaign :p . He bowled out all his seamers and that too when all were expensive . And Jadeja only 1 . Can be said deliberate thrash captaincy . :p

I don't see CSK losing the top 2 spot tbh. They have an NRR of close to +1.100. That's a very very healthy NRR. Tomorrow's RCB v/s PBKS is an important clash.

I don't see the value of Sam Curran if he does not get to bat at all in any game. I know he was tried to be moulded for death overs bowling, but he is still a Powerplay bowler and continues the propensity to open the floodgates with his bowling. Last year in a horrid season for CSK, his value appeared to look very positive. But with normalcy restored within the CSK ranks, suddenly Sam Curran does not have that aura around him anymore. I could be wrong and maybe with Bravo nearing sunset, Curran could possibly be bought back next year by CSK, but I definitely don't see him retained (if CSK have only 3 retainers). It should be Jadeja, Ruturaj and Chahar who need to be retained ahead of Curran

Their NRR is now down to 0.829. CSK have to win atleast one more and hope one of DC or RCB do not get to 20 pts. RCB have Punjab and Hyderabad in their sights and can quickly get to 18 pts, which will make their last match against Delhi as a potential top 2 qualification match.

You are a CSK crazy fan while I'm a CSK fan. Sam Curran deserves to be in the playing XI ahead of Bravo. He's had a couple of poor games for sure but he has been outstanding for them the last 1.5 years. I think T20 is over analysed and it's very easy to have disastrous 4-5 games, let alone two specially if you are someone that bowls in the PP and the death. CSK's consistency is amazing but their rigidity is also annoying. They have been reluctant to promote Curran and Jadeja and I feel they are the best finishers currently in the squad. Jadeja's worth has only started being realised by most people in the last couple of years but he's always been a gun cricketer deprived of a real role or opportunity.

I guess "fake" reputations precede talent in today's world. You don't need to look beyond KKR's captain.

I don't know why everyone around the world feels Sam Curran the Cricketer isn't a worthy enough and there a lot of better players than him. I feel the guy is just special and has a lot of potential. He can truly show only if he gets utilised in the right way. Atleast give him time, he is just 23!!!

Moron umpire & their decisions. :facepalm

Virat's form is a huge worry for India going into the WT20.

Also, I can see why @Yash. was missing Moises in the SRH camp. Someone who makes things happen and can't be kept out of the field.
